The North Face Prophet 65 Backpack - 3800-4150cu in

May 19, 2012

tomasz -- i would recommend the north face Patrol 24 pack for single day adventures in the backcountry, the Patrol 34 for an one night overnight, and in bounds skiing i love the Chugach 16. Best in bounds/ sidecountry pack ever.

The North Face Prophet 65 Backpack - 3800-4150cu in

Rating for this product: 5 May 19, 2012

Best pack for multi day adventures, used it from a 3 day trip to a 3 week trip and it works well with both. pretty easy to throw skis on, plus its got an exterior crampon pouch so your spikes dont mess with your down gear. In cold weather Ive noticed that the buckles like to break pretty easily though, not a bad idea to carry extras.

Rating for this product: 5 May 19, 2012

These bibs are sweet, i rock em on any pow day. im about 5'10' and wear the large, but i do like a baggier fit. One issue is that sometimes the suspenders fall off my shoulders, but throwing a carabiner or something higher on the straps solves that issue.

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2012

For a pretty thin glove this thing rocks. I always keep a pair in my pack for touring days and jumping. Really dexterious and nimble which is great. they come pretty soft so there isnt that lame "break-in" period.

Black Diamond Megawatt Ski

Black Diamond Megawatt Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2012

This ski is a bit stiffer than both the Amperage and Gigawatt, which is nice for those days after a big storm. Great thing is they crush it in the pow too. Super floaty tips makes you feel like your surfing lines. Landings on these are super stable even at high speeds. They are pretty sweet all around.

Black Diamond AMPerage Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2012

This is my #1 ski. Everyday I rock it, whether its pow, chopped and screwed, or Alta jump lines, the AMPerage is my favorite. I mount mine a few cms forward of recommend (3-4) and find it suits my style well. Rockered tip and tail are awesome for soft snow takeoffs and landings. In bounds or out Im always on this ski

Black Diamond AMPerage Ski

March 4, 2012

I mount mine pretty far forward... +4-5 cms. This ski is directional, so your not going to get a great feeling if you are centermounted. With a few forward I find it plenty easy to stomp switch landings and rip switch pow, plus it evens out the swingweight for spinning. I definitely recommend going a couple cms forward.

MFD Alltime AT Binding

MFD Alltime AT Binding

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2012

This plate is an awesome replacement for the trekkers and Dukes. Ive rocked it on three different skis, the Gigawatt, Megawatt and Amperage. It works great on all three, yes its a little heavy but you get used to it quickly, especially once you discover how easy to use these things are. Plus, you have your favorite binding to shred down on, which is every backcountry freeriders dream.

Rating for this product: 5 November 16, 2011

This vest works great for inbounds/ slackcountry missions. got pockets for whatever you need, and stashed your avi tools in the back. pretty slick system. It does act like an extra layer kind of, definitely keeps in some heat. I wear a large jacket and xl vest, but a large vest would work as well.

This pack is the sickest all around pack. For slackcountry/cat-skiing or heli-skiing it is the best. Keeps your avi tools separate from water and sandwich, plus the whole back panel unzips for solid access to your gear at the bottom, middle and top of the pack.

Black Diamond Absolute Mitten

Black Diamond Absolute Mitten

Rating for this product: 5 October 2, 2011

If your looking for warmth, I have found similiar performance between the Alti mitt and these. The Alti mitt is probably a little warmer, but they suck for dexterity. The lobster finger on the BD mitt makes it a little colder, but you can deal with you gear much easier, thus not pulling you hand out of your mitten, which deeats the whole purpose. Super great for those ski expeditions when you need dexterity and warmth

Dalbello Sports Krypton Pro ID Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 25, 2011

Definately one of the better all around boots Ive skiid. I can rip big mountain, but also send booters without getting the dreaded shinbang. The ankle buckle system is key as well, keeping your ankle locked in safe during high impact situations, where a 4 buckle boot allows some flex and "bubbling" around your ankle when your landing.

Rating for this product: 5 September 25, 2011

Keep this thing on 24/7 and couldnt even tell. I used to dread throwing a helmet on my pack goin to the backcountry, but the maze is so light its a no brainer. I also noticed the sizing seemed to change, I used to rock a medium fine, but now I always wear a beanie or bandana underneath. I guess thats just more gangtsa anyways.
