The best multi-purpose jacket, hands down

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 22, 2009

Though this is not a jacket to be worn to combat subzero temps, it doesn't claim to be. There is no liner of insulation to make it a "winter" jacket so do not compare it to that level of warmth. If you spend your time outdoors standing still in freezing temps, do not expect to be warm in this jacket.

Similar weight and warmth to The North Face Sentinel Thermal Softshell Jacket at half the cost, and twice the utility.

I choose this jacket above all others in temps ranging from 20-70 degrees (F) which is about 75% of the time here in Minneapolis.

The durability is unmatched and they've softened the material a bit from previous year's models making it well suited for all ranges of aerobic activity.

This is my second Apex Bionic jacket and I'm sure to keep coming back.

(A word of caution: if you anticipate a breakup with your partner in the future, HIDE YOUR JACKET from them before it gets "lost" in the shuffle; it's highly prone to ex-theft).
