These boots are as good as it gets. They have a removable plastic tongue for making the skin up easier, and you can pop it right in if you need the extra downhill support. I personally don't ever need the tongue, so its an instant transition at the top. They also climb ice incredibly well. If you can find a pair of these in your size, do yourself a favor and buy them, they will be the last boots you will ever need to buy.

This rope is great. I got the 80M for ski mountaineering to use as a single to ski-belay and its long enough to double when I need it for vertical travel and rappels. I liked it so much I bought a second one and use it for wondering multi-pitch rock, with good rope management your able to string together really long pitches. I will say that it has gotten super dirty, haven't washed it yet, but that may be a by-product of its skinny diameter.
