My MX has never been washed and has aquired more than a hint of campfire aroma to it. What is the best substance to use to wash it without compromising its water shedding abilities (which are surprisingly good)?

Anyone bike with this in colder (low 30'sF) weather? I usually put my Gamma LT zip over a windshirt and a cap-3. That's usually fine once I get warmed up as long as there's no wind or the temp doesn't drop below 30 or so. But I wonder if the Venta SV would be better.

Just received the scarlet today for our daughter (hope she's not reading this). This looks great but she may prefer something just as warm but that's a little longer. Wouldn't HAVE to be Arcteryx but their quality has spoiled me. My Theata AR is five years old and looks (and performs) as good as new.

Anyway, I need a Plan B for Christmas. Any suggestions? Thanks.
