no u wouldnt get away with a normal because 11.5 is cutting it really close on normal so the best option for u is 156w if u plan on more park and a little mountain or the 159w if u plan on more mountain

well since ur pretty tall and big feet im gunna say ur around 180 lbs so im 155 5'9'' and size 10 boots and i ride a 156 board and my feet are almost hanging over so id say u get 160 and possible get it in the wide version so ur feet dont hang over

if u want to stick with the design of the banana and dont want to buy it ( idk why not ) but go with a gnu board which are the same tech and possibly a little cheaper

i would definatly get the lib tech banana... it was my first board when i was just free riding, its great for new riders and for experienced in every way possible... the magne traction saves u from catching edges and uve got great pop, once u have stretched it out a bit it also has nice flex its a great board for everyone and whatever they need perfect for u too

in my opinion color is the least of what u should worry about... just think about how stoked u will be once u get it no matter the color it rides like a champ
