Salomon XR Crossmax Neutral Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Salomon XR Crossmax Neutral Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 30, 2012

These and the XT Wings in a 13 did not fit my feet. I usually run in Asics and New Balance size 13, but these were too tight in the toebox, and caused blisters--I have never had blisters before. I called Salomon and they helped me get into a size 14. An the rest is bliss. Good traction, better on trails than on pavement, this is a good shoe. When fitted properly, not according to size (as that is subjective between shoe companies), but to fit, these shoes are great. I would buy another pair, if they had them in 14 on DoG.

Marzocchi CORSA Micro Ti RC Fork

July 12, 2011

This was tricky for me when I installed it, and I too was disappointed, but managed to work it out.

It took me and a buddy to get the think to work properly. You need a set of needle nose pliers for the cable to pull it tight, turn the lock out slightly with a set of bare or gloved hands towards the LO position, clamp/screw down the cable with your alan wrench, adjust the barrel adjuster on the lock out remote to add tension.

This should work, and if it doesn't, with the remote LO on and the cable pulled, have a buddy hold the LO dial in position while releasing the cable from the screws and re-setting the cable so that it will pull the LO dial around more.

I, too, was disappointed when I set it up for the first time and it did not work, but when I realized that the system had to have a good amount of tension in it to move the LO dial around, it became clear what to do. It may take you a few tries, but you will get it.

This is a great performing fork and all the better for the handlebar LO. Don't get frustrated too much, it will work for you.

Solid fork, amazing price!

Marzocchi CORSA Micro Ti RC Fork

Marzocchi CORSA Micro Ti RC Fork

Rating for this product: 5 June 7, 2011

Smoke and mirrors is the bike component industry if you believe in one brand to rule them all due to successful marketing. Although Marzocchi has seen it popularity drop in the late 2000 with products that did not match the quality of their early 2000 forks, it seems that what they have been doing lately will put them back into competition with other suspension manufacturers.

This fork simply works and works well. Smooth travel, totally tune-able, and depending on how you set it up, it can feel lighter or heavier due to the amount of steerer you cut, and the spacers you use. The remote cable lockout is a well designed piece, and the aesthetics are top notch. 1846 grams listed, my scale came in at just around 1800.

If you are in need of a great fork and are hemming and hawing, pull the trigger on this one from chainlove. You will not be disappointed once you have it set up properly. Marz is getting their house back in order, after a few years of sub-standard products. I do not know why their are not more of these on higher end bikes, or any quality reviews. Hopefully this review is.

*(I have a 2004 Marathon Bomber SL--darn near indestructible, that fork. It is still ticking along like a boss. I have only changed the seals and oil once, and have decided to replace it with this fork due to a larger frame acquisition. Long Live the Bomber)

My go to piece!

Oakley Freight Vest - Men's

Oakley Freight Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 5, 2010

This vest is a great fitting piece for those dry cool days just above freezing, I picked up a large, as I am 6'3 and 180, but the thing was a bit sloppy. Returned it for a Medium and bingo bango--the medium was the trick.

Warm, comfortable vest!

2XU Compression Tights

November 8, 2010

I am 6'3, 32 waist. Will the mediums fit me the way they should, and will they be long enough? Or will I look like I am wearing man-capri's, and not provide optimal compression benefits?

Tight Armpits!!!!

Dragon Darkside Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Dragon Darkside Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 November 6, 2010

6'3, 175--the fit in the body is great, the fit in the arms--great. The fit in the armpits--tight--and I have small runner/roadie cyclist arms. I bought a Large. Should have gone for a XL and sized up. It is comfortable, cozy and warm. I wear it often, but still have trouble getting over the armpits. Yes, I would buy it again, but for the right price only, and for the right size.

Awful fit

Analog Melrose Short - Men's

Analog Melrose Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 November 6, 2010

These things suck. I normally wear an analog 32 short--6'3, 175 lbs, and they fit just plain weird. Low rise waist, not long enough in the leg, they are a terrible fit. Straight up suck! If you do buy them, size up, and cross you fingers.

Warm, great fitting piece

Oakley Freight Vest - Men's

Oakley Freight Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 6, 2010

This has been my go to piece for the last 3 weeks. 6'3, 180 and the medium fits perfectly. After trying the large, I had to send it back because it was too baggy on me. This thing fits perfectly over hoodies, tees, long sleeves and under a soft shell or wind and water proof gore tex outer layer. Very warm and cozy. Black is the boss too.

Size up one! Warm and comfy tights

Orbea Continental Bib Tight - Men's

Orbea Continental Bib Tight - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 4, 2010

At 6'3, 175 lbs, I bought the XL, sizing up from what was recommended. They fit perfectly. Very comfortable. Tthese are not as bad ass as a set of all black tights, but for the low light days of winter, it is better to be seen rather than laid out on the ground, or wrapped around the hood of a car. On Bonktown, you can't beat the price.
