Kayland Crux Sphere Shoe - Men's

I have a pair of Kayland hiking boots in addition to the Crux. The boots are much more comfortable. The Crux disappointed me. The style is great, but the cushioning is minimal, and there is very little arch support. I hiked one trail in them and wished I'd used my boots instead.

Why the difference between two products under the same name? My Kayland boots were made in Romania. The lesser quality Crux? Made in China.
