Hestra Vertical Cut Freeride Glove

Hestra Vertical Cut Freeride Glove

Rating for this product: 5 May 2, 2011

I have had my Vertical Cut Freeride for 2 full seasons now and I will never use anyother glove. This glove does everything you could want. It keeps your hand warm on cold days and sweat free on warmer days. I used to have 3 diffrrent gloves that I used. One for realy cold days, one for kinda cold days and ones for warm spring days. Now I have just the freerides and they work great for all days. If you take care of the glove they will last for a long time. I only see minor wear and tear after 2 seasons. Great gloves

Full Tilt Booter Ski Boot - Men's

Full Tilt Booter Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 15, 2010

Just finished skiing in these boot for the second day and so far they kill it. My previous boots where dalbello il moro and I loved them but the boot was to narrow at a 98 last for my fat feet (my feet are 103 last). I love the flex pattern of 3 piece boots and was willing to deal with the skinny il moro that killed my feet to have that flex. The second I found out Full Tilt was coming out with a 102 last 3 piece boot I jumped all over it. The boot skies great and at the end of the day my feet were not numb. The 4 flex tongue is a bit soft for me but the nice thing about most 3 piece boots is that you can change the flex of the boot by putting in a stiffer tongue. I have already ordered a 6 flex tongue. This boot is exactly what I have been searching for and at a price point under $400 with an intuition liner and quality construction you cant beat it. If you have a wide foot like me and are looking for a 3 piece boot this is the one for you. If you want a stiffer flex Full tilt also makes the High Five boot that is 102 last but comes with a 6 flex tongue.

Volkl Katana Alpine Ski

Volkl Katana Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 October 22, 2009

Great ski. It truly rips on any snow conditions. I bought the Katanas thinking I would use them only in powder but was completely blown back by how good they performed on hard pack and ice. They have since been bumped up to my every day ski.

Icebreaker BodyFit 260 Legless Bottom - Men's

Icebreaker BodyFit 260 Legless Bottom - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 22, 2009

Best base layer. Merino wool is amazing. It truly does not stink. I used my icebreaker 260 bottoms every single day last year (I work outside, even in the winter) and they never stunk. And trust me I did not wash them every day, they were lucky if they were washed once every two weeks. There is a bit of a wear and tear issue. It seems if you wear them all day for around 275 day strait you might start to see some holes in the crotch. Who would have imagined that?

Hestra Seth Morrison Pro 3-Finger Glove

Hestra Seth Morrison Pro 3-Finger Glove

Rating for this product: 5 October 22, 2009

Hestra is the best gloves money can buy. I own a pair of the Hestra vertical cut freeride gloves and the only two things that I thought could be better with them was a bit more warmth and a wrist strap. When I saw this glove with the lobster fingers and wrist strap I knew I had to have it. I can’t wait to use these bad boys on a cold, cold day.

Volkl Mantra Alpine Ski

October 19, 2009

I have tried the gotamas, mantras and katanas. For me the Katanas is where it’s at. I felt they were the best for all conditions. What sealed the deal for me was when I demoed the Katans on a day when there had been no new snow for weeks. The Katans performed way better on the hard pack and ice then I had ever thought. I have no input on the coombas because I have never tried them.

Like Sam said the best thing to do is demo the ski (in multiple conditions if you can) to see what works best for you.

Dalbello Sports Krypton iL Moro I.D. Ski Boot - Men's

October 14, 2009

They come with a second black tongue that is stiffer. They also come with heal wedges that allows you to change the forward lean of the boot. I use the big wedges and the black tongue. With that setup there is no place the iL Moro can’t go.
