Nice underwear, but overpriced for what you actually get. Could have come from Wal-Mart. If I hadn't gotten them on sale I'd feel like a chump.

Very solid product

Zeal Link SPX Goggle - Polarized

Rating for this product: 5 January 10, 2011

I've seen some SPPX ones mixed in here so I'll clarify - I have the SPX (non-photochromic.) I've taken these out in everything from snowy fog to bluebird. They are great and don't fog. They are not their best in fog and storms, but that's what yellow lenses are for. For general overcast and flat light they work well enough.

Tried out a pair after seeing the reviews (and some Tahoe ski patrollers wearing them.) I was between sizes (7.25) and went for the medium size after reading the comments. They are too small, so I'm sending them back for a large pair. A smaller-handed friend wore them at Heavenly Resort one cold day. Reportedly they were great until the temperature dropped to about 15F and then they froze up. To be fair, everyone else's froze up around 20F, so I would say that they proved themselves. I'm looking forward to having a better fitting pair to hit the slopes with.

Not bad at all!

CW-X Insulator Zip T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

CW-X Insulator Zip T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 3, 2009

I'm a skier and already own CW-X Pro tights, so I figured this would be just the thing for an all-season baselayer. Overall, they're worth the dough, especially if you get 20% off like I did.

CW-X gear, even the insulator stuff, is very breathable and cool. The non-insulator items have less than zero insulating or wind-cutting value, i.e. you'd probably be colder wearing them than nothing at all. So - if it's cold you will absolutely need a good intermediate layer. Once you heat up, you will appreciate how breathable they actually are.

I don't have any empirical gauge of how useful the support is on this T-shirt. I suspect that just feeling like Spider-Man when you're wearing it is where the performance boost comes from. The thumbholes are great, and the zipper is a fairly neutral feature.

Pricey but worth it

CW-X Pro Tight - Men's

CW-X Pro Tight - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 10, 2009

I bought these for skiing after reading lots of reviews and lots of less-than-scientific marketing literature.

Putting these on felt like it took about 10% of my weight off my knees. That made a big difference after a day on unforgiving icy crud snow.

If you are going skiing with these, consider the insulated version. I think the uninsulated are meant for running, since they are very effective at transferring heat away from your body. Not always a good thing when you are sitting on a lift with frigid winds tearing across the mountain.

You may have to burn the waist tie ends. Mine frayed after a single washing. I have not had the "riding down" problem that some people have mentioned. They could have put a fly in, though.

Bottom line, I hated paying for them, but I'm glad I have them.
