I agree with ananda that these are a little warmer than the seekers but they are the bomb for touring in warmer temperatures. I enjoy the cargo pockets because I have a bunch of stuff that I always need to put somewhere handy. Be it a map, gu or gloves the pockets are handy.

Suspenders are great, dorky but usefull and can be removed if your too cool. Gusseted crotch is great for ease of movement.

I got this jacket to look good, and it does. It is also super functional when the weather turns on you. Arcteryx quality and urban style. This jacket commands respecvt.

Just got a new MX and this thing is better than ever. Lighter, they removed excess softshell behind the pockets and replaced with mesh. Such a good fit, I am 6ft 160lbs and the medium fits me really well. Putting it on made me seem lighter and faster.

I rocked these pants early season and liked them, goretex no frills. The lack of thigh vents might deter some, but they are very decent otherwise. No bulky extras.

Been waiting for this style pant, warm waterproof and made for cold weather, you will not feel cold in these.

I over heat a bit while touring in them but I like to move quickly.

Classic Arcteryx construction with a more relaxed style. Comfortable, warm due to fleece lining and great thigh zips. Tour in them, shred in them. Fit well over the boots.

These babies have been working well for me all season, the tip and tail is tight. The glue is not super sticky but the system has never let me down. You can duct tape the tips so the rubber stopper does not fall out.

I like fat skis and shredding powder, but I have used this pair for many days this year and charged with them. They are narrow and made for ski mountaineering, but they can charge powder and steep lines. BUT they are not powder boards. A light powerful ski made for fast and light, multi-summit, long traverses and high altitude mountains.

I am a ludite and like it fast and light, but the amount of time I have spent worrying that my skis might slide off the top of the mountains could be worth having a pair and never worrying again.

I have only eaten these a few times but they are tasty (vanilla), a sort of ricepudding style, Unlike other gels, these feel like they have some substance.

Soo tasty that I have to eat the whole package at the same time, but its worth it because they are full of quick energy. Super tasty. and natural.

Great weight for climbing up, the first day on the prototypes I climbed and skied off Mt-Blanc, a 12000 foot day. The descent was floaty and awesome. The slight tip rise keeping the ski cruising.

The skin system is tight and awesome, it has yet to let me down.

Lately my eyes have been tired from the sun, so I got these glasses for full eye protection. My eyes are already feeling better. I like the wrap around arms that grab my ears and hang on comfortably. And the sleek case that protects them when not in use.

As a carabiner on your harness this one is huge and has a great big opening. It makes it easy to use.

If you like style and accuracy this watch is it. It will calculate and record everything with constant accuracy. and then print itself. Its dorky but super fun to have those records.

I still use my first stove from 15+ years ago. It has been every where and cooked well on whatver fuels I needed. The quiet stove that could.

I have never had a synthetic that felt like a down jacket, this is a first and I love this jacket. As warm as down but not affected by water. It fits big, but is super cosy. The red is super bright and can be seen from far, far away. Light and packable. great.

These are made for aerobic activities where you are hot and active, once you cool down these are not the gloves for you. But should you need a glove to tour uphill in, these are the bomb. Can be used for downhill on warm days but keep a warm glove for the colder days.

I was a little skeptical about the offset zipper, but its great, when its open its really open and lets air in but zipped up its tight. This jacket fits well and skis well. Pit zips are there if you like em. Bomber as usual and the blue color is great.

These combo mohair/synthetic skins grip well and glide well.

I thought the tip attachment would have been finicky but I found it easy and smooth. I have always loved grabbing my tips to pull skins off, its easier than trying to grab your tails.

And not having to trim my skins. Easy

This ski is the progression of the Dynafit system. You love their bindings and now you can love their skis. The inserts are confidence inspiring, and keep the weight low by minimizing the binding platform.

The tip makes the ski feel even wider than its 95 mm, which has been a favorite width of mine for years. Great for deep powder, good for the steeps, pretty versatile ski. Easy skiing, very playful.

The tip also helps when breaking trail, it floats the already light ski to the surface, making gaining vertical easier. way easier.

My introduction to the Titan was a five day traverse. Having a big bag made me realize how stiff these boots are. With 70lbs on my back these boots responded quickly and skied aggressively. Having watched Dynafit boots develop over the years, this is their best offering yet.

A super cool hook extends out of the clasps and hold the buckle loosely, this prevents the buckles from swinging around as you hike up for hours. A slick little gadget.

This boot climbs as well as it skis. My testimony would be that I climbed and skied off Mt-Blanc , in 11hrs, while wearing this boot.

I really like the fit of this sock, but it is not as durable as I would like. Great for awhile and then no longer tight. If it stayed tighter longer I would love it but as it stands it okay.

If you have ever tried to pull a large person out of a crevasse, you may have encountered some serious resistance, this pulley applied at the right spot could save you lots of effort. The reduced friction is key and I love this biner. Essential piece of equipment in a crevasse rescue kit.

I have loved the feeling of this axe, at 65 cms its a little long to carry but when you push it into the snow you feel real secure, looking down sketchy slopes feels much better with this baby in hand. It will last a lifetime and is strong and durable, can be boot belayed with and is all around great for its size and weight.

I skied the Spirit 4's efore this boot and prefer it. These boots have buckle issues, where the tolerance is not enough and the buckles get in each others way. Which can be frustrating when its cold and windy and you cannot get your buckels done up.

All else is as it should be with Scarpa, a powerful boot that is made for charging and decent for walking.

These babes are great for layering, they are warm and fuzzy, but only use them for layering not as a stand alone. They are not designed to put skins on and off, or climb ice as they have no extra protection and will wear quickly. But as a layering glove that comes out briefly to tie things up they are great

This glove has been a staple of mine for years, my first pair was stolen three days after purchase.
I love them for their dexterity, their breathability, warm yet great for action. Great for the climb, good for the descent. Not great in cold weather, and can get wet in warm conditions.
I have used them extensively and love them for backcountry skiing, I can pick up a dime with them yet I am wram enough when not messing around and pounding laps.

This bag packs down tiny, and lofts up huge. This bag is often the envy of others.
Combined with the Alpinist bivy this bag has always kept me comfortable, it has been on so many adventures; at least 80 days of spring ski trips and still it lofts up and is ready to keep me warm.

This is the newer version of a bivy of mine that I have used extensively over the years, bivying in it for 21 days, well -1 night when I crawled into the tent with my friends. Anyways amazing, breathable, my sleeping back is never soaking and I have slept many a comfortable night in the snow. perfect for light and fast ski traverses. Packs small.

I have been a softshell man for many years and I decided to venture back into the goretex pant scene. This pant is comfortable everyday, cozy and warm when you need it and easily vented when the sun is out.

Definitely a wide pant style, more new school than other Arcteryx pants.

Whenever touring with my wife, priority is to keep her warm, this jacket does that. It feels like a down coat yet is highly breathable and comfortable in the alpine environment. The red is also very bright making her easy to see on our backcountry descents.

I can't say that these have been the best goggle ever, but the medium size fits my face and I have no peripheral issues, I see as much as I need to while skiing.
I am getting fogging issues now but they are over a 100 days old.

For someone who needs to know snow depth, and digs pits this probe is great. We all like the usefulness of having the cms marked off. It helps increase your knowledge and we know knowledge is power. The nut does need some focus to thread it and tighten the probe, and it should be dried out to minimize freeze up. The 320 is long enough for a deep burial, should you ever have to probe one! It is also a great length for checking snow bridges across crevasses.

No doubt having to search for someone would be a frightening experience. With this tool in hand you can relax and let it find your friends for you. The processor needs a bit of time to stay fixed and will find your friends quickly as long as you take your time. You will be quicker by letting the machine work for you.

It has many features that with practice one could become very proficient with. But even without knowing all the tricks this beacon will find and locate quickly. Which is what matters most.

I have been wearing this jacket for years, my original one is still being worn by my stepbrother and is 9 years and 600+ days of use. It has faded a bit but that is all.

Great for touring, blocks wind, breathes, has a hood, will withstand amazing abuse. Not too warm.

So simple, so strong. I have skied Dynafits for 9 years and have never broken one. NEVER. Millions of feet uphill/downhill, wild descents, big hucks whatever.

The Verticals have a longer lever which simplifies getting into the different lock modes, added leverage makes it easier on fingers in cold weather. Higher din, though I only ski it at an 8.

There is a trick to switching from ski mode to touring without unclicking, it involves your pole and a quick twist, but it takes practice.

You will never want anything else.

This probe is simple, strong and ideal for a day tourers backpacks. The measurements help you test snowdepths and really help in your snowpits. Easy to put together in a stressfull situation and strong enough to penetrate the avalanche debris without deflecting. perfect.

A shovel built for cement. I have used mine for many more uses than just snow and it worked well for all applications.

But it is built ideally for snow. A great size for snow tests, good size for moving snow when digging pits, snowcaves or huge backcountry hucks(not that I do that!) Welded and bomber.

It fits well in any pack and goes together quickly. Burly.

Years ago I did a 21 day traverse with a sleeping pad that was too thin and not warm enough. I suffered.

With this pad, I sleep well, am warm, and it packs down way thinner than any pad I have ever had. It's so much easier to have a big day in the mountains if you have slept well the night before.

As a semi professional skier , I have to be more media savy than avy savy sometimes. this bag carries it all. Computer/camera/headcam/flash drive, remote control. All the dorky essentials I need to make my slide shows happen.

Although I agree that when it is empty with just my computer it needs a strap or something to keep it from banging around.

I used this bag last winter and it is so simple and bomber. The material is very durable and doesn't shred under my ski edges.

When it rainy you don't have to worry. Or when we were canoeing across for witer ski touring missions I knew that all my camera gear would be dry regardless of the waves splashing over the boat.

Downside of it being so water proof is that condensation builds up and you have to dry it out.

It will last forever.

A 50L bag is ideal for 1-3 days any longer and you should not have a bag this small.

I used this bag two years ago and had great success with it. I mostly day tripped with it and it fits all the essential mountain gear. Avi gear, first aid, downjacket and ropes if needed. The roll top opens quickly and easily for top access and I used the side zip for the rest.

Ski strap system is set up for either skis or snowboard, but it seems to have a little too much going on for just my skis. I ended up modifying it a tiny bit to make it strickly for skis.

I am blown away with this head cam, great quality, rugged and easy to use. I immediately took it to the pool to film my kids jumping into the water and it is definitely water proof. I recently filmed some scuba diving and got great results.

For skiing it add a great perspective to my videos, giving an intimate feel to what we are up to.

Due to its light camera I can use booms to hang it up in the air and get cool perspectives while skiing. The multiple angles are great and will provide endless entertainment.
