i also bought this bag for a trip to Steamboat CO (divebum, hope you enjoyed the pow out there as much as i did). it is padded and tarp lined, which is good because i saw how the baggage loaders chuck my stuff onto the plane. thanks guys...

all i needed was this bag and a backpack for carry on stuff for a week out there. bought a 165 and my short girl 147 board left extra room at the top so my helmet easily zipped into the top pouch. both boots both fit into the other pouch. jacket, pants, base layers, tshirts, cardigans, 1 pair of jeans, mittens, socks, AND bathroom bag all stowed away in the extra spaces in the bag/pouches.

weighed 40 pounds at check in aka i would have not made it to JFK if it did not have WHEELS! i also would have done well if it had backpack straps...

i also bought this bag for a week long trip to Steamboat CO (divebum, hope you enjoyed the pow as much as i did). the padding and tarp lining was great because i saw how the bag got chucked onto the planes. liked the zipper locks too.

this bag is all you need if you are not a ridiculous over-packer. my boyfriend and i (147 and 159 boards, respectively) both had 165 bags and each of us fit everything - full kit, snow gear, street clothes and bathroom bag - with some room to spare. my bag weighed just over 40 pounds at check in aka wheels were SO necessary when dealing with the subway and airport. backpack straps would have worked too though...

so yeah, this bag really is the way to go.
