I was pessimistic about purchasing this jacket and was concerned that it may not be able to stand up to the rigorous winters of Northern New Hampshire. Boy was I wrong. Just recently I had to make a four mile foot trek through the snow while fighting below zero temperatures and all I had was my Northface nuptse jacket, no hat and a pair of gloves.
The Nuptse jacket lived up to its name keeping my body dry and warm even the hidden hood was able to keep my head, face and ears toasty.
I recommend this jacket to everyone and if you plan on hiking in the White Mountains pack it along in its convenient stow pocket, it may just save your life or at least make your day more warm and enjoyable.
