I bought these as an investment for skiing out West where the wind is cold and quick on the lifts. So since I bought them in March for a April ski trip, the temps were not cold enough. I did wear them for 3-4 hrs the first day which was 30 degF and my hands and fingers were toasty warm.

I bought the grey, size 10 and it fit perfectly as per the size chart. I have never had mittens before and have been using the North Face Montana glove for the past 2 yrs.

These mittens have a great under the wrist (not over the wrist) velcro strap with looks and feel durable. The drawstring on the cuff is easy to use with the other mitten on. The wrist strap is thick and snug with no drawstring so there is no sacare of loosing the mitten on the lift or at the top from the wind when not on your hand. The removable liner is great incase you drop it in the sink in the bathroom to dry it out.

I did not try skiing with only the shell in the spring skiing as I was only wearing my north face liners.

I am worried about the leather and durability/storage over the summer and will have to see how it does, but the leather cream that came with it should help.

I can't wait to try these babies out in Colorado during -20 degF powder..

My wife thought my old Patagonia is too thin and not working anymore after 2 yrs which was a size large.

I received this one and it was the same one, just newer style. This is a perfect product for me and I use it all the time. The odor control technology was the selling point for me. It wicks the sweat away and keeps me dry on colder runs.

I use this for skiing, running, cycling, and camping.

I will not leave home with out it.. The price is not back and is similar to REI when I bought it 2 yrs ago.

I am ahlethic built in the shoulders, chest, from lots of skiing, swimming, soccer, and biking. I was hesitant about buying the medium and thought about the large. I bought the medium knowing I will continue to loose weight. When I received it and tried it on, the fit was snug but not uncomfortable. Maybe the large would be a better but after weighing this a couple times, it fit better.

This is perfect for keeping the core warm when skiing, cool enough when in spinning class, and dry when out running. This is a perfect fit for under my wet suit for cold triathlon waters and the neck line it not too far up. The lenght is longer than expected and that good allowing my to tuck it in to the shorts so it does not roll up on you.

I bought this for skiing first and have been using it for running, biking, swimming, and even camping.

I will buy 2 more of these of the medium size as the snugger fit feels good and keeps the little fat I still have in place and pouring over my shorts.

I was hesitant about buying the large vintage/black color from other reviews, but figured it had to work. It did not.. The waist was good, but the rest of the pant was baggy. The butt was huge and the front pouch stands wide open. I took them off before my wife could see and laugh. I returned them the next day. I unstead bought the Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottom and these worked the best.

I bought this for some spring skiing in Park City in Apr12 and these kept me dry, warm when I needed it, cool when I opened the vents, and packed up small.

Pros:
- Roomy inside but not loose. Can wear a heavy to light weight bottom underneath
- Lightweight material (wore lightweight Patagonia Capilene 3 bottoms)
- Excellent vents (kept me warm in the wind, and cool after/during 94 turns run at Park City), netting in the vents to keep snow out.
- Awesome Color (Not sure at first but the color seems to be close to the new style of blue/turquoise)
- Bib Fit (tight and comfortable, did not need to wear my core warmer because of the bibs
- Bib pockets great to keep the phone and small camera dry.
- Bib zips off and zipper tucks away.
- Packets up small in the suitcase.
- Waist adjuster is a velcro strap on both sides to make a snugger fit.
- Ankle protectors on the inside are a must for protection from ski's edges. My older pants did not have this and snow/powder gets trapped in there during skiing, leaving snow melting all over the place. This pants is perfect and durable.
- Gaiter are intergrated and are two layers with zippers and velcro. Perfect fit over ski boots.
- Pockets all over the place and good size. Not placed where the fabric or body needs to bend.

Cons:
- Color variety, not much to pick from.

Overall, I wish I found these years ago and will order more like these. If you get hot easily and don't like wearing thick pants, these are perfect. Spring skiing is great and for cold winter skiing, I will wear a thick base layer. Perfect for the price.

These liner run the correct size. The palms have material that hold grip very well, almost too good while trying to put them inside my North Face Montana gloves. They are thin enough for running. When they get wet, the moisture is wicked to the outside and dry fast.. Love these gloves.

The socks may seen too thin for warmth, but surprising keep your feet warm. The padding is in the correct places for long days of skiing. I thought I might need to change socks halfway through the day due to sweat. But it was all wicked away by the correct fabric composition. I will buy these socks again.

I was in Breck when it was -10 deg & -20 with wind chill and 10 inch powder. These pants kept me super warm and dry. I am 5'11'", 220 lbs with a 32-34 waist. I got a Large in these and they fit perfect. Not too small or too big. I was even able to wear to my DonJoy ACL knee brace under it with room. The vents have mesh in them, so no access to under lays. My girlfriend got a pair of these because how warm I was. ;)-

Warm, thin, and keeps your head cool. Pile rim keeps it in place. I wear a 7 5/8 hat, a big head. This hat does fit one size all. I wore this hat under my XL helmet all day at Breck/Vail. The orange cool is awesome. I bought the grey one after I got back. Its also great for everyday use and jogging in the AM.

These gloves are warm, flexible, and durable. Have used these for 4 straight days of skiing in Vail, Breck, Winter Park. The guantlet is the perfect length, and the adjustable straps on top are great for sinching the gloves tight. The only down fall is the synthetic material on the plam side. The gloves are slippery on ski poles and when trying to loosen your boots with snow on them, it gets worse. If this is a main concern, then look into the Dilithium or Patrol II gloves.

I have been looking at winter ski jackets for a long time now. TNF - Vortex, Marmot - West Face, Columbia - Titanium, Patagonia - Powder and this one. After visiting REI and trying them on, I got this one. This coat has pit vents, lots of pockets, great powder skirt, nice detachable hood, and the possibility of zipping in a liner with wrist sleeve clips. This jacket helped keep the wind out in -10 deg weather in Breck. This jacket also folds up small. I was able to pack it and store into half of the size of the hood, great for back packing. For layers, I wore a Smartwool Microweight NTS Zip-T, REI microfleece, TNF Denali Fleece Vest, and this jacket. Plenty warm. I would recommend this jacket to anyone.. I am 5'11", 210 lbs w/ 52 in chest. I got the the XL because the Large was too tight in the chest.
