Agree with the other reviews. So lively it seems to bounce out of the snow and so forgiving it begs you to go big on that air spot. I really like the stiffness of the ski for busting crud and it will manage as well or better than any wider ski on hardpack. Definitely a different ski than a Hellbent or an EP pro. It's like the Line SFB on full strength, nut-shriveling, rage-inducing, male pattern baldness-causing anabolic steroids.

Light and breathe pretty well for a '2 layer' short. Good fit, looks are cool and understated. Only reason for 4 stars is one of the points where the inner shorts button in has broken and the metal buttons on the front don't stay buttoned well anymore (but there is velcro to back this up). Probably reasonable durability considering 40-50 days in these shorts. If these are clean, I'll pick them over my fox or dakine shorts every time.

Great tint, nice fit and great ventilation. I've put the goggles on my sweat-saturated noggin and had them fog up instantly only to clear as soon as I start rolling. I like the rubber on the back of the strap - nice retention and makes a good handle for getting them off with gloves on. A bargain for the price considering the optics and finish quality.

Comfortable, weather proof and practically indestructible. Fit well over knee/ shin armor. Wore for two very wet days at whistler and my legs didn't even get dirty. Good alternative to loud moto-style DH pants.

Was looking for something to wear on long skins that would breathe and not absorb moisture causing me to freeze at the top. Previously tried fleece vest, micro-puff vest, and ex-weight fleece top. No va. The HH Barrier jacket is it. Super spartan - only one pocket, very light and thin - barely more substantial than a light shell. The hood is a bonus, tho. Works perfectly over a midweight top to keep the sweat moving as long as it's exposed to the air. Not only did it keep me warm on the climb, I zipped 'er up and skied cold, north-facing slopes without a hint of cold getting through the dense fabric. So far haven't used it in wet conditions.

First day on them with 12-18 inches or Cascade crud, spackle, mashed potatoes, whatever: these rode like a dream. Light. Wider than listed - about 112mm under foot. I'm skiing the 181 which is stiffer than the Line Sir Francis Bacons I use for alpine but even more stable and damp. Steeps, trees, andjust fine on packed groomers. Shop techs and patrollers were salivating...

Used: 4 years, touring, in area with AT and alpine boots
Durability: excellent- some wear in the rear of the binding where it locks down for ski mode with no effect on performance. People who are breaking the are probably stomping on them with their opposite ski.
Vs. Marker: lighter, better materials, better riser, proven design. Higher rise off ski and din 12 may be negatives fir some.
Vs. Dynafit: heavier than; dynas can release in tour mode if too much lateral stress. Work with alpine boots

Groomers, pow, trees, drops, switch... Best ski i've ever ridden. Don't be intimidated by the width. Just came off 101 Salomon Guns and these skis are way more stable and fun owing to a slightly stiffer chassis. Can turn very quick - I could ski behind my son with him on a leash. Stiffer, longer turning-radius skis might be for you if you're skiing huge Alaskan faces but for everything else the Bacons dominate!

I never thought I would like mittens but my mind has been changed. These are super warm and fit well in spite of feeling fairly thin and dextrous. The grip and feel is so good that using poles w/o straps is totally natural. They are plenty burly. Only beef - cuff is a little short to cover my watch and wrist closure on my coat without fussing with it a bit

Throws down in pow and lands drops well. Light and very spinnable with a center mount. Can hook a bit in more packed conditions. If you like to drive a ski super hard, might not be the best because it's flexy. I'm 6' and 185 and have a lazier style and it suits me well.

I skied the new Guns for the first time today in 10 inches of classic Northwest fresh (no, it ain't powder!) Excellent all-around ski in spite of the size, it can rip on softer packed runs but really excels on the steep and deep. The skis have a nice bouncy feel without being too snappy. They provide an excellent, stable platform for landing drops and jumps. Can't wait to push them further!
