Black Diamond O1 Telemark Ski Binding DO NO TUSE

These bindings are not worth the money. The cartridges have backed out on me repeatedly, causing catastrophic failures at high speed. Black diamond says the catridge is backing out in transport but not true. I have tightened cartridges to their rec's immediately before skiing only to have them loosen underfoot, causing the heel lock to come undone when my knee is fully dropped. The nice touring perfomance is totally undermined by unpredictable failures when going downhill. My local shop knows of the issue that I and many others have and neither they nor I can get Black Diamond to back up this piece of crap. Do you want to release from your binding at 40 mph? I have and it really hurts the body not to mention the boot that had the retention hook ripped out (left boot) or the leash that broke in half on the right boot during another failure.
