i am thinking about purchasing this ski. this year i skied on

Rossignol S97 Ski

i am thinking about purchasing this ski. this year i skied on the S3 98 in breckenridge and the s80 in stowe for some spring skiing. both skis were great.

i am mainly an east coast skiier so i am wondering how this will do as an east coast ski and how it compares with the other two i used this year.

so the cutaway is more insulated than the synchro? i prefer less insulation in my shell so i can layer more effectively. what other shell, hard or soft, would you recommend from mountain hardware? i prefer light, breathable shells (taped or welded seams). could be a softshell or a 2-2.5 layer hardshell.

How does the Cutaway compare to the Synchro Ski? I ski mainly in the northeast (VT) and prefer to ski in a softshell given its superior breathability. Plus, I don't ski when its raining, so I am OK not having a 100% waterproof shell.
