Stoic Welder Insulated Softshell Jacket - Men's

I think it depends if you want to layer underneath it or not. I am almost your exact size (5'8 and 133), and I went with the medium. This allowed me to wear a base layer and a 200 fleece weight fleece under it (I get cold easily). I wear mine for snowboarding, so I thought a medium would give me more flexibility in how I could layer.

Thanks guys. I actually already have the R2, and I want something a bit warmer for night skiing. I will be wearing this under a shell, so the wind blocking properties is not a need. What would be a step up to the r2 in terms of insulation/warmth but is still low bulk? I have the R4 but I find it a bit bulky. I am thinking about adding the Monkey Man fleece as it looks to have a more athletic fit than the R4.

Just received my jacket a few days ago after getting a great price on SAC.

The fit on this is true to size compared to the older backcountry gear which normally ran small. I am 5'8 and 135lbs and the small fits perfectly.

I was initially hesitant on ordering this jacket as the neon orange wasnt my thing, but after receiving it, I kinda dig it! I think this would be a great mid-weight layering piece or a stand alone.
