I don't snowboard, but I recently purchased a snowboarder's down jacket from you to take on my summer backpacking trip in the Swiss Alps. As someone who feels the cold, I like the generous amount of down fill and the longer back length for added warmth. And the moisture resistant outer shell won't become a useless lump of wet feathers if I get caught in a shower or heavy fog. It doesn't weigh much, and squeezes into a relatively small space for packing convenience. The large, down-filled hood makes an additional hat unnecessary. Also, mountain huts and hostels can be frigid at night any time of year--it will double as a half-sleeping bag if needed; or when weather is warm, it can be rolled up for a comfortable feather pillow. I've only day-tested it so far, but am certain it will meet my needs in the Alps.
