I got this jacket for my Dad on his birthday and he says he loves it. It's very warm, the Cocobolo is a good brown color, the fleece-lined hand pockets are nice, and the shoulder and elbow fabrics are durable. He says he's sure he will be warm when he has to go out and feed the horses first thing in the morning!

These shoes are light and fit me like a glove. They're good for a narrow, low volume foot like mine and have kept me blister-free and comfortable for many runs and hikes.

TCU's are classic small cams - great price and a solid cam. I'd prefer these over the Black Diamond C3's. The range finder is helpful, if you need it.

These Rabbit Runners are the way to go for alpine and trad climbing. If there's a chance you'll need long runners or to sling natural pro, these Spectra bunnies are lightweight, durable, and are the most versatile option. If you sling runners over your shoulder, they won't get all tangled together because you can remove one by unclipping the biner holding them together - instead of pulling it over your head.

This pack has gone canyoneering, rock climbing, mountaineering in Ecuador, backpacking in the Adirondaks, and has carried my gear for many trips for the past four years. It's only got a few scuffs on it and has held up great. It's a nice all around pack - simple, lightweight, but still durable enough to do it's job well.

On chilly fall mornings I'll wear this vest out, as it's just right for cool, but not cold, weather. It's got a nice feminine fit, an inside pocket, and a cute fit.

I love this jacket, it's super warm, compressable, and light. The inside mesh pockets hold gloves, skins, or a nalgene, and the hood actually fits over a helmet. If you need dependable winter warmth, the DAS is the way to go.

These are a must have for me on any cool-weather camping trip. They're cozy and warm! You won't want to do any extended wandering around in these, they're not durable like a shoe, but for around camp, in a yurt, or curled up at home with some cocoa, they're perfect down slippers.

Thin hard cracks and dicey slabs make these shoes feel at home. Size them up a little for all day comfort or down for one-pitch routes. Great for narrow feet and heels!

I wear a women's 10.5 and I wear these in a 39 for comfort and also in a 38.5 for when I want a snug fit.

These shoes kick ass. They are a true women's performance shoe, narrow in the heel with lock-down lacing. If you don't get them too small, they can actually be comfortable for more than one pitch, too!

I wear my Mythos in sizes 38.5 and 39, but I've found these are best in a 39.5 for me. I wear a size 10 street shoe.

Excellent fit! The low profile, light weight, and great fit of this helmet make it easy to forget that I'm wearing it, even on long, hot days. It looks pretty sly too!

I've had three of these harnesses over almost nine years, and I keep coming back. The fit is great, the waist and legs easy to adjust, it's comfortable yet lightweight, and Petzl fixed my only complaint about it - the Corax now has a haul loop.

I'm a woman at 5'7" and a size 6 and I wear this harness in the size 1.

This is a great harness for glacier travel, general mountaineering, rappelling, and canyoneering. This harness is light, packable, and very durable. The buckles on the leg loops make this very easy to put on - you won't need to pick up your feet to do it.

However, I don't recommend using this for general rock climbing (other than top-roping), due to the lack of padding.

These cams are the standard in active pro. Well made, easy to use, and solid.

The Double Axles saved a friend of mine from decking out... it's a nice backup.

The trigger is stiff to pull when I'm pumped and I don't like the fell of the trigger pull in general - it's not very responsive. That said, all my friends rave about these and think they're the cat's meow.

CCH Aliens are way better, imho.

If you're climbing at the Gunks or in Georgia, you're gonna want these.

Also good for TR anchors in larger sizes.

Yeah, they're loud, and some people think they're obsolete... But, there's nothing as confidence inspiring as finding a big, bomber hex placement. You know it's not going anywhere.

I love this vest for climbing and hiking in fall and spring. It doesn't have a lot of extra room in the chest, so size up if you're more on the pineapples (vs apples) end of the spectrum. It's light, dries fast, and the chest pocket is handy.

These are the only skis I own right now and they've been right at home in the Utah powder I'm blessed with where I live! These skis kill it in blower pow, day old crud, knee deep to a few inches, in bounds, outta bounds, way backcountry, and whatever else I've thrown them at. That is, except icy groomers... but that's not what these skis are made for.

These babies have been fantastic for me (especially with Dynafit bindings...) and I highly recommend them!

No regrets here, these bindings are great.

I've had this jacket for almost five years now and its still keeping me warm. If I'm going climbing and it looks like it might be cold, windy, or a little wet, this jacket is always in my pack. I've used it skiing, climbing, backpacking, commuting on my bike, for walks with the dog, etc. The fit is true to size and layers easily under my shell jackets.

This has been my only bag for five years, and it rocks.

It compresses down small, is SUB TWO POUNDS!!, and has always kept me warm. Despite the light weight, it has proved durable and has withstood trips to Ecuador, the Cascades, many, many climbing trips in the southwest, and it has fully proven to be worth the price.

Somehow these fit my tiny face and look great! They're very comfortable, keep the wind out of my eyes on high speed bicycle descents, and they don't fall off my face! They're lightweight and stylish without being too flashy.

This stuff has a nice subtle flavor that I can deal with, even on three hour summer runs in Arizona. The science behind the nutrition is solid, and Hammer doesn't put any artificial colors or sweeteners in it!

While in J-Tree last winter, I used a friend's set of Curve Nuts, and I was very impressed with how easy it was to get good placements with them. These are way better than the BD Stoppers, imho. Everyone and their mom (and me too!) has Black Diamond gear, Metolius makes great cams and passive pro too!

I've never done 100 miles, but the Hardrocks have been sweet to my feet on my long days. Good cushioning and they're tough enough for rocky trails.

Super pants! From sport climbing in J-Tree to backcountry skiing in the Wasatch and even mountaineering in Ecuador, these pants have been there for me. They kick ass - durable, lightweight, flexible, they shed light rain and dry fast. They are best for cool weather - spring, fall, and winter. The guide pants do stretch but they generally fit an athletic bodytype best. You'll have these pants for years.

I have this shoe in a different print and I love them! They're as comfortable as slippers but cute enough to wear everyday. I can dress them up or down, wear them on long walks, or just chill out at home with these shoes. I usually prefer not to wear shoes, but these Sanuks are nearly as good as being barefoot. I got my usual size and they fit great.
