Bern Watts Brock Helmet - Men's

Bern Watts Brock Helmet - Men's

Bern Watts Brock Helmet - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 4, 2009

You asked for a ventilated version of the Baker, and Bern listened. Introducing: the Watts Helmet, featuring the breathable, repeat-impact protection of Brock Foam. Getting it done in all seasons is the name of Berns game, and the Watts fills in the gaps where the ventless Baker couldnt go. Perfect for spring park days, O.B. hikes, and sunny freeride MTB sessions (with the winter collar removed) the Watts takes a serious beating and comes back for more. Brock Foam is unique, allowing sweat vapor to escape through the shock-absorbing closed-cell foam structure, and fixed vents in the top and rear of the hard shell exterior let the breeze do the rest. Its the perfect helmet for warmer climates, and cold days too if you rock a thin helmet liner underneath. *Hard Hat version, not EN/AST/CPSC certified for severe single impacts.

Bottom Line:
Baker without the bake.

POC lobes

POC Lobes Goggle

POC Lobes Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2009

What’s better then than 3 Swedish women comforting each other in a sauna on cold winters night?

Nothing, of course...

However the Lobes goggle from POC aren't to shabby.

Not only do they make you look and feel like you’re at the helm of an f-16 fighter jet, but they actually stand up to the test in all elements.
With these lady killers your turning heads all day, while not having to turn your own to see what’s going on. The Lobes give you unprecedented peripheral vision, making stealth missions easy to accomplish.

As well as protecting your eyes and much of your face from snow, ice, rain, headwind, tree branches etc - and naturally also assisting your vision in different light conditions - POC have worked on optimizing the field of view on all goggles. Research has shown that simply increasing the field of view allows you not only to see better generally, but to perceive details in your peripheral vision. This in turn speeds your reaction time. All goggles use a cellulose propionate inner lens to optimize anti-fogging properties, and in the case of double lenses, a polycarbonate outer lens for durability and a penetration resistance. All lenses are anti-scratch and anti-fog treated

If you haven’t heard of POC or been gobsmacked by a hot Swede sporting a pair, read on.

POC is a Swedish company committed to revolutionizing the quality and degree of protection of helmets and body armor purpose-designed for alpine skiers. We are achieving this by using the very latest high-tech materials and design techniques developed in close cooperation with world-class injury and safety specialists.
Lobes are our newest ski goggles, with a huge lens to optimize the field of vision. The inspiration comes both from Swedish architect Sigurd Lewerents, who puts his windows outside the facades, and from astronaut Neil Armstrong. The lens of Lobes is a perfectly shaped spherical surface to minimize optical distortion.

They just make ya wanna rip!

POC Lobes, sick goggles.

Burton The White Collection Operator Snowboard

January 1, 2009

how much does this board weigh?

Nailed It? 0 Yes

Sold Out

Nidecker Ultralight UG Snowboard

December 31, 2008

someone said that this board is 5.1 pounds not 5.5, and that this board is lighter that the vapor..this is what they said: I would like to point out somthing for those of you being misled by the Burton marketing department: this is NOT, and has NEVER been the lightest snowbaord available.Since it's inception, the Elan Inverse has held that title (weight vs. length and weight vs. surface area were both better). Also, the Inverse came out first, not the Vapor. Last year's Inverse 159 weighed in at 5.5 pounds compared to the Vaopr 157 weighing 5.7 pounds.Second, there is a new champ. The Nidecker Ultralight 163 weighs in at 5.1 pounds. So the Ultralight is not only longer, but weighs less at the same time in coparison to both the Inverse and the Vapor. Also, the Inverse and the Ultralight are cheaper. The Vapor is not worth $1000, so watch and wait for them to pop up for $600 on WhiskeyMilita.com near the end of the season if you really want one.
