Not the wheel pictured

Just an FYI for potential buyers--the wheels pictured are not the wheels you receive.

I ordered the wheels in early June 2010 and received the single speed model of these wheels, not a cassette-friendly freehub as shown in the pictures. When I emailed them to ask about what I had received, they told me that they did not have any of the geared models (the SS freehub is shortened and will only accept a handful of gears).

Chainlove was great about their return policy, and even paid for the return. It's very unfortunate--the Alphatype white makes for some great looking wheels.

Would you say that these would be good enough to hike in in the

Would you say that these would be good enough to hike in in the spring/summer/fall, or would they be too warm? I'm trying to find a nice pair of pants I could hike in, but would also be water proof, ruling out the need for a waterproof shell. Thanks!
