Chaco Credence Tall Boot - Men's

Chaco Credence Tall Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 2, 2012

These boots are pretty truckin rad. Never worn Chacos before these and they are way comfy! It takes a touch of effort To get yo stomper in 'me but the fit is really good and true to size. And they stay on well as a result of it taking a little effort to get your foot in them. I'm also not a boot (these kind of boots anyhow) wearer so I'm not used to having to force my foot into footwear. The leather is killer, so soft yet tough. I've worn them outside at -10F and my feet definitely got cold but I was presently surprised at how long it took. With that said they aint winter boots but they keep snow out and my feet warm enough walking up to class. All in all great boots that are like walking on clouds, pretty sure I could run in them if I didn't think I'd get blisters

SOG Knives Double Headed Axe w/Nylon Sheath

SOG Knives Double Headed Axe w/Nylon Sheath

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2011

pure unadulterated slaying! perfect length for one handed carnage however you can totally get both paws on the ridged handle to crush your foes with the double bladed head. throws like Thors hammer and with a polished head splitter on both sides your almost guaranteed to sink some cold 420 stainless steel in the coward that turned heals in the heat of battle. think nothing of it if you time your throw wrong for you'll land the Ballistic polymer handle in the small of there back which will leave them withering on the ground while the elastic cord tied from your wrist to your weapon of death returns it to your hand with ease only so you can split more noggins. acquire the ax. be the man. slay the enemy.

Suunto Core Altimeter Watch

October 25, 2011

it has a depth meter up to 30' (so it'll go to there no prob) and its water resistant up to 100'. had mine down to 27' or so free diving (so not staying at that depth for prolonged periods) and it does great, never had a leak problem. and if you end up with a defected one (not likely) send that shit back to bc and they'll send you brand spanken new one no Q's asked.

winter Bomb Shelter!

Mountain Hardwear EV 2 Tent 2-Person 4-Season

Mountain Hardwear EV 2 Tent 2-Person 4-Season

Rating for this product: 5 March 31, 2010

Mountain Hardware EV 2 tent

Bomb Shelter!
The Ev 2 is a bunker for those cold snowy nights on the glacier. It is truly an amazing piece of gear. Weighing just over 5 lbs this single walled tent is as close to a snow shelter as you can get without being in one. As a four season tent it is fairly light, it goes up in a matter of minutes with even with one person. The three pole design is sturdy and strong, lots of guy lines for staking off with ice axes and snow anchors. As a single walled tent ventilation is vital, and mountain hardware pulled through here with excellent vents along the top. Defiantly a winter tent though, you will bake in the summer like a Dutch over cake. Phenomenal tent if you have the dough but keep in mind it’s only a cold summer night and winter tent.

Suunto Core Altimeter Watch

Rating for this product: 5 July 31, 2009

the functions of this watch seem to allways work as long as u reset the alti before every trip - easy - but what i love most is the storm alarm. its easy enough to know that a storm is coming by looking up at the sky, but when night comes and its a little cloudy and u want to sleep w/o the rain fly what do u do? turn on your storm alarm of course, which is fairly sensitive to changes is baro pressure. so if the clouds build up while your asleep your core will happily beep at you giving you plenty of time to through that rain fly over and sleep warm and dry- note that the beeper on the core is only moderatly loud, if you sleep very heavy it wont wake you- or put it next to ur head cause the alarm wont ever wake me when im sleepin on my arm. the flat and then 45 degree arrow is the barometric pressure- the flat part is from 3-6 hours ago while the 45 degree is from now up to 3 hours ago- flat means whater is same, up better and down is worse. if it drops for to long the storm alarm goes off if it is turned on. stay alapha and get out there! =)

Oakley Riddle Sunglasses

Oakley Riddle Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 4 March 16, 2009

yo, I got these a while ago cause i lost my half jacket Oak's and these are stellar. they do look more like goggles but thats ok, i wear them mostly with my outdoor clothes but they still looked great on a hawaiian beach. they are pretty dark and wrap around nicley- oh and im a guy that walks a straigt line so they deffinitly work both ways. they say medum faces but i've got a large head and they fit great- good job Oakley- they are bigger on your face then they look in the picture but i still recomend them especialy if their to go w/ winter clothes. only for stars cause they are a little bit more boxy than i thought but deff. 5 stars for Oakley craftmenship and bc service. rock out BC

Gerber Truss 2.5 Knife

Gerber Truss 2.5 Knife

Rating for this product: 3 March 16, 2009

this knife is small but stays sharp and usefull. easy to use and open, little bit less easy to close but no biggy. i owned one for a year and i never had to sharpen it through repeated use. the lock mechanism did break on me- I have no idea why, all of a sudden the peice of mettal that serves as the lock got soft like plastic and broke. I took it back to REI and got a new one no Q's asked but be warned.- other than that its a pretty good knife for cutting rope and random other camp stuff. G-tron
