I've had my MSR WhisperLite for about 4 years now... it's reliable, lightweight, and can take a ding or two... as all the other reviews say== noteworthy- I just took it down to Mexico with me for the first time and I wasn't quite sure about the availability of camp fuel down there- so I took it knowing that regular unleaded fuel was a possibility - and sure enough went ahead and used regular unleaded fuel for 3 1/2 weeks-- it was a little dirtier but worked like a dream... then upon returning to the states- the stove was EXTREMELY easy to completely take apart and properly clean and flush-- so user friendly. It's an impressive lil' bit of equipment.

The Swindler is a GREAT pair of sunglasses. HUGE FAN. They look great and provide a lot of coverage. I have the "brown" lenses- they're marvelous. I dig the "gap" above the nose brim as well. I've had my pair for a long time and they're still my "go-to's" .. noteworthy- they have a nice gentle curve around your head. Super comfy- but aren't going to slip down the nose as much because of it

These shades are awesome. . . the lenses are a great shade too- not too dark at all- however perfect on a super bright day. They stay on well too- you could probably do flips on a tramp wearing them (okay- I'll try it later) and they'll stay on. Don't get me wrong though - they don't give you a headache or anything. they just feel durable and strong. plus i really dig the alternating shine-to-matte-finish check. Something to note: there is a slight dip in the center-top of the frame- it's not a straight-acrosser like the gibson- I don't prefer it one way or the other- but it's worth noting-

I have been a faithful fan of the Smith Phenoms... this past year I went on a trip through Montana and accidentally only packed my pair of the I/OS ... at first I was a little bummed because I've always preferred the phenom and the weather was ULTRA crappy (HIGH WINDS, no vis, snowing sideways, .... ) I WAS BLOWN AWAY by the I/OS...the goggle held up in the nasty weather ... I even hiked wearing them (well- I had to because the weather was so harsh)... usually if I hike in a goggle and get a little foggage because I'm sweating underneath them= I will have issues with the goggles for the rest of the day. . . I kept them on and skied with them without issues. I feel like the "no-frame" is actually great for bad-weather days. . . I had not given this goggle that chance until I was forced to and now I'll be wearing mostly the I/OS...

I enjoy this top because IT IS light weight and thin... true the support bra on this one is not maybe for super bouncy workouts for the ladies with a bit more to support-- but for those occasions I just throw another sports bra underneath... however for the average yoga session, or for minimal bouncing outdoor activity - I LOVE that this top is super thin and light. It's comfortable and extremely flattering. Plus... you don't HAVE to wear a bra = so it's a cute enough top to wear out and play some golf or something without coordinating much. It's quick-drying and blouses in a lovely way. I love this top and seem to receive compliments quite frequently on it.

I've been touring in this band several times and had multiple people ask me where I got this item. It's GREAT for touring. light and yet just warm enough- keeps the ears warm but still has breathability and blocks sunscreen sweating in your eyes. . . quick-drying, this is a great headband.

this is a phenomenal mid-layer for cold- days - OR outer layer for less than freezing outside occasions. It's very VERY lightweight- don't think thick and cumbersome- it's like warmth without knowing where the heat is coming from?... it keeps the core warm and you can barely feel it on. It's technical and works great. Plus the fit is feminine and flattering.

I know I'm using the "Bottom Line" quote for this shirt- but it's true. It has a great shelf bra (I need support) and then it doesn't show the massive sweating beneath the shelf bra going on while you're working out. It's genius... and makes me feel comfortable. It's very quick-drying- it's lighter than what you might think of with "quick-drying polyester"... it's very sleek and comfortable. it's also long enough that it fits a longer-torso --- if you want to show off your stomach- this isn't the top for you. It's been washed many times and still looks brand new. I'd highly recommend this top.

It might just look like a top- but it's kind-of like everything you want in an active shirt. jog, hike, climb, be outside and potentially sweating- super quick dry, ultra lightweight. it kind- of doesn't even feel like it's a shirt at all because it's so light and comfortable. Peak thought of everything with this top- it manages moisture perfectly-while still providing warmth. the seams feel non-existent- but all the while it's feminine and flattering? I know it might seem expensive- but this top will last forever- (it washes great too)... it's worth every penny.

This item is very light, rolls up very small, and the fit is lovely. I'm 5'7" and it was plenty long. It's definitely not the most comfortable thermarest on the planet but it's very convenient and easy

this item is quite "boxy" ... felt like it wasn't long enough and that there was a lot of excess room in the shoulders. MIND YOU ... i have a long torso; however super large shoulders as well- and this still had quite a bit of space around my shoulders- (which made paddling very easy on a side note)-- I just felt like it went from loose up in the shoulders to tight and super fitted in the waste and then it wasn't quite long enough- felt like I was pulling it down to avoid sunburn constantly? ... It's definitely warmer than my other 1.5 in the chest area though. and basically for the price it will get the job done.

Very comfortable- I have a long torso- note that this is a GREAT fit for that. The sleeves are very long as well, but are no bother being a slight bit too long. The 1.5mm neoprene is for the most part only in the chest- sleeves are light and super comfortable. Note that it is pretty true to size, (maybe even a bit bigger than expected?) This was a great buy -

I get compliments on these all the time. They're super cute to start out with. The wide waste band is great with all different kinds of body-types, and isn't a "squeezer" waste-band: it's not the thick band that keeps your pants up- it is the draw-string, but supported by the waste band it makes for a great work-out design. The mesh down the sides helps with breath-ability as well. For a work-out PANT these are about as light as you can go. Fabric is soft and light... doesn't retain smells and washes well without thickening. These will not shrink AT ALL.

so, everyone is willing to pay top-dollar for lulu lemon stuff because word on the street is that it lasts forever, great fabric, worth the extra money. . . I was in lulu lemon yesterday and checking out their stuff... they had a top just like the mohkki... I have the mohkki and I guarantee the PeakPerformance top is softer, better built for a female, and is going to last just as long as the lulu lemon one. I think the fabrics that PeakPerformance uses for layers that are intended to touch skin are the softest and most functional (let alone flattering) in the business.

comfy- works great... and if you're looking for an everyday headlamp - lightweight, reliable... this is a good price. I'm sure there are reasons to spend more money... but if you don't have any extreme intentions I wouldn't spend anymore because this is a great all-around headlamp.

extremely light-weight. Definitely gentle on your head as well- can barely feel them on. I bike in them and the interchangeability of lenses is easy and impressively useful. Full coverage of eyes and peripheries. Also- they never fog on me. it's pretty badass because I sweat pretty hard when im sucking air uphill and have a tendency to finish sunglasses off with face-fog before I get to the top of a climb and then have to bust out the "squeegie" for the decent. Never with these: they have a good distance from your face and with no rims- nothing to inhibit airflow. I have to admit they look at times overly hardcore for a casual afternoon mnt bike ride... but function over fashion... they're the lightest sunglasses I've ever tried on. they work great

The Chemist is one of my favorite Smith glasses OF ALL TIME. I'd say I consistently wear this shade more than any other. I even toured in it all season-- worked well for that because they didn't fog as easily as a shade that shapes more to the curvature of your face. These look sweet on (totally classic look) and then they end up being a functional sunny too?... They're bitchin'

Generally speaking I get Smith sunglasses for free as a part of being a Smith team rider-- these, I paid for because they're so badass. I love them.

like the shades a lot. They feel sturdy on your face too- you know how some sunnies you put on an they feel a little flimsy- these are built well, have a nice weight to them. Also, the lenses aren't too dark and I they look really good on most everybody. My only complaint is that when you put them on top of your head- your hair gets a little stuck in the folds? Other than that though they're great everyday sunglasses.

I have this jacket in two colors and have yet to put it on- even just to run to the grocery store- without receiving a compliment on it. This is a gorgeous gorgeous jacket and I wear it all the time. It's great for skiing on cold-ass days and great for throwing on on your way out. The feminine cut is stunning and unparalleled - honest. It's a little longer in the torso so that it doesn't hike up if you have to lift your arms above your head for something. It has great movement. I have a few other puffy coats and while I love the warmth they provide- sometimes when shredding they can be a little limiting in terms of movement... This jacket is 'premo' for warmth, movement, and fashion. It's a must- I promise you'll be stoked on the jacket. I love BOTH of mine. (It's not as warm as the Peak Performance Women's Denali Jacket- that one is your ultra warm puffy that's a more "sealed" warmth- this jacket is more versatile and feels a little lighter...but still SUPER warm)

I like the little details in this jacket: the contrasting colors and the mini folds. Don't be fooled by it's minute uniqueness- this is a super warm jacket and meant to be worn and skied in. It's fashionable and pretty, but at the same time needs very little layering underneath. It does have pit vents if you need them, but I'd say this isn't a great spring skiing coat-- it's a little hot for that. The tiny little fashion details on the jacket are pretty and "cool" - plus it will withstand whatever winter conditions you throw its way.

This is a comfortable, obviously ultra warm, feminine puffy. Take it camping, put it under a shell for a super cold day of skiing, throw it on on your way out- it's a classic. I get compliments on it all the time--I think because it's a little more slender than other down jackets. It's functional fashionable and I totally dig the smaller down chambers. Two hundred for a down coat this versatile is impressive too. Note: This is not meant to get soaking wet day after day.

This jacket is stunning. It's the height of fashionable ski wear with undeniable performance capacity... it outlasts the competition and is worth every penny. This brand goes overboard (in a good way) with the planning of this jacket. Every seam has been properly thought-out. It's super warm with the ability to layer down if need be. Gore-Tex everything... fully sealed zippers... and ultra feminine cut. These jackets sell-out fast in Europe- so this is actually a killer price: it's the prime gear of the Peak Performance brand. May seem like a lot of money- but you won't regret it- it's classic and will last forever, plus it's absolutely gorgeous.

Hands down- best feature of this pant in the raised lower-back waist line. It might seem trivial but I'm telling you it's the best thing since sliced bread. If you've skied a powder day and taken a little spill- you've MOST LIKELY ended up with snow packed right into the top of your lower-back-bum area- it's almost always a given. This raised back is genius! Forget about the powder skirt that always ends up high over your waist anyway- these pants are gorgeous, flattering, and built for people who intend to use them.

This jacket is super unique. Functional pockets, but each are a little different. Peak makes great pockets on a side note...if you like to ski with extra stuff, these are deep sizable pockets. The performance of the jacket is awesome. It's versatile in that it's great for all weather conditions... but really at the end of the day it's just fun to have something a little different from the herd.

It's merino wool- who doesn't like this stuff? It's breathable, warm, and quick-drying without being itchy or swampy. This is the perfect touring base layer. It's form-fitting-FOR A FEMALE BODY--- I wear a medium but I think it's best to size up with this fit. the medium is a little snug for my taste-- but the integrity of this base layer is unbeatable. I like the zip option- it feels like when touring if you unzip the top you manage your temp a little better- but maybe that's all in my head? I just like having the option. This is a well-made, functional,and attractive base layer-

It's cute and feminine without screaming "Flowers! Butterflies! or Other obnoxious girly things!" It's not cheesy feminine- it's classy feminine - and ultra comfy. Great choice for a beanie.

love LOVE the subtle sparkles in this hat. Who doesn't want a great beanie in the winter? -- but then there are a few of us that can't get enough of that 'great beanie' having a little bit of sparkle to it-- awesome hat

This is a warm and functional glove. I love the liberty of a "pointer finger" free= this is the first glove I've tried with this option. Hence- the warmth of a mitten, yes, but less restrictions. Hestra gloves are perfect for women because I really believe they're consistently the warmest gloves I've ever tried. . . I find that Hestra gloves are insulated well and comfortable- and therefor warm. Put your hands in one- they're made by people that know what they're doing.
(However it is very important that you use the wax that comes with the glove-- stay up on your waxing. - takes two seconds- but it's important.)

I agree with catiecoo on the "not for curvy chicks" part. Which is FINE because curvy women can find enough stuff that doesn't fit the rest of us. My sides go straight down from my ribs with little waist at all-- these shorts are super comfortable for me, when I usually find myself upsizing so as to get waste-bands to fit below my belly-button. I'm not saying I low-ride- I just don't like hiking with a tight waste-band that causes me to suck-in when I'm stepping up onto a boulder. These REST nicely just below the waste without being baggy in the butt. FIT ALONE on these shorts makes them worth buying. However you couple that with great fabric and long-lasting make= they're awesome active shorts. The fabric is great. It washes super well, it's lightweight and soft=making them non-chaffing for long hikes... The pockets are pretty nice too- for one reason or another women's clothing never seems to have efficient pocketing- these are functional deep-enough pockets for stuffing - say- golf balls and some T's if you want to play golf in them.

yet EXTREMELY LIGHT WEIGHT....not itchy, super warm, - exactly what you want in a base layer---HOWEVER-- it fits slim- be aware that it's a tighter fit than normal.... size up if you don't want a skin-fit.

I have worn this jacket for about a year now. For skiing, this is the jacket for cold days. It is water resistant so it works on snowy days...I don't know if it would last an entire season of snowy wet days? I love the offset zipper: It actually has an inner zipper up the front: Frankly it isn't that important- but it's kind of cool. It has the lycra wrist gators-- which are key for skiing in pow- and basically just skiing period- gators are awesome... they easily slide into your gloves with thumb holes and keep you dry... it also has a powder skirt should you wish to use it- furthering your seal in this jacket. It's cozy. . . I wear it around town on cold days and get lots of compliments. It's a beautiful jacket... warm and functions as a great ski coat- but also manages to be feminine and stylish. (Peak does a great job with this)

The Carrie Jacket has been a PeakPerformance staple... it works really well as an intermediary layer for snow sports. I've worn it under my shell for cold days. It can also be worn to yoga being as movable as it is. It's impressive how feminine the cut is as well. It lays well on a female body without added bubbles or bulges... you can make it a mid-layer for just about anything and also wear it out of the house and feel classy. It washes super well and last an ultra long time. I still have my first Carrie zip (might have been from 2006) and it looks brand new.

I bought this for 3 weeks of sun in Baja.... for sun protection-- problem is that if there is ANY breeze at all it flops a little too much. Plus there is no inner elastic strap, or synch-strap of sorts to keep it from blowing off your head. It's super stylish and cute-- but if you're on the beach and there's any sort of wind activity it looses functionality quickly.

The fabric is unbeatable. . . period. I have no idea what works so well with their cotton-lycra blend... but these pants are SUPER comfortable. The waste-line is flattering too. These are super cute and I get compliments on them ALL THE TIME. But it wasn't until recently that you could purchase them in the US. They have a great fit, their comfortable, well-made, and flattering. Plus this price is a great price for the Jacy pant

I had worn the Peak Performance long sleeve base layer for two years before I got my first short sleeve. This is an ALL SEASON base layer. I have a long torso- these are nice and long. It's great for a day of touring, jogging, yoga, and I even wore mine surfing down in baja as a quasi- rash guard? It worked fine, not exactly meant for that but - I use that as an example to show that it's high quality-- it can take a lot and still look (and feel-- it's SUPER SOFT) new. I have Peak Performace base layers from 6 years ago and they still look, feel, and smell good. . . 40% off is a steal too. Also-- they're super flattering... the lines and the design is ultra feminine and flattering.

I actually have this puffy in two colors I love it so much... but then again who doesn't love a puffy jacket? They're super warm, comfortable, and super warm. What I think separates this puffy from others is that Peak Performance managed to take a puffy- make it high performance (ie - wrist gaiters, and a removable powder skirt inside) and give it a feminine cut. I have been wearing Peak Performance for 5 years now and until Backcountry.com started selling their clothing there was not one place to purchase a Peak Performance item in the states. . . I receive SO MANY compliments on this puffy--and for that matter on Peak women's clothing. People are always looking for a place to buy it. Peak Performance is REALLY good at making things that are meant to be used/skied, while incorporating style and fashion, and really taking into heed a female body as opposed to a "general" female cut.

I've spent two seasons now in the Heli line from Peak Performance. This is one of my favorite jackets of all time. It's versatility in amazing. The shell-like jacket is impressively impenetrable; between super high winds and then wet snowy conditions this jacket is uncannily warm-- it keeps you dry and protected underneath (layering is necessary- because it is a shell). . . However it's ventilation is impressive as well... it's superb for spring touring. Peak Performance did a great job with this jacket because it's truthfully made for someone that's going to be skiing a lot... It was the only jacket I wore for the 2010 season and I skied almost every single day--- it's still in prime condition. The performance of this jacket is impressive... I'd highly recommend it. . .

I would have to agree with Mr. Roner here. . . the ski does rule and does work for all conditions... From the alps to the great utah deep stuff-pow-pow to AK spring snow ... and then groomer/jump runs in the corn--- it's a great ski.

this is my favorite smith helmet yet. honestly. INCREDIBLY light-weight-- it's like you're not even wearing a helmet-- however still warm-- and safe. I'd recommend it for anyone-- it's the lightest certified helmet on the market. . . plus-- I honestly can say that I 'tested it's durability' a few times last season-- check check and check. stoked. will def ride this helmet again next season.

um.... wore it close to every day all winter.

For women that like to be active in a bikini--this is a great buy. It's super comfortable/cute too and regardless of the activity, everything stays put. From river-running labor to surfing- works awesome.

So, not claiming to be ultra extreme with camping, however I find this tent super user-friendly, light, and durable. My last tent had zipper problems, moisture management problems, and never seemed to sit up quite right- the wedge has worked great for me. It was a good buy-- and I bought it for a lot more than it is online here.

super warm gloves, if that's what you're looking for--they're awesome. they stay dry and function properly-- the wrist strap might look a little hoaxy-- but it's F-in handy. hestra gets it when it comes to gloves

this is my "every day" glove. I have a blue pair, and regardless of water-proofing product, they do get wet a bleed a little. I'm in Utah and we have pretty dry pow here. HOWEVER if I have a little bit of a blue hand after a day of shredding with WARM HANDS? I don't really care. They're super warm gloves. Hestra really makes a great glove. They're soft, warm, and durable. I'd recommend them to women especially. (all those of you with "poor circulation" -- you're not the only one... this glove is warm)

if you've owed, wore, and lived in this sandal-- you know... it's simply the best. some people don't like the "toe" strap- I love it. It's great for down-climbing --if you adjust it correctly it really shouldn't be a problem. I've lived in chaco's for the past several years. . . it's simple... they're durable unlike any other sandal. The only complaint --and again you probably know if you've lived in a pair too--they do start to smell a little bad after you've lived in them wet, dry, and in between for a summer on the river... but they hold up well. I'd recommend them to anyone... especially someone that spends a lot of time on the river?.... they're optimal

it's under 20 bucks and worth having in your bike pack. it comes in handy not only for you-- but for the people who you're out with that aren't as prepared as you are.

these are great energy alternatives for those of you that aren't so stoked on stuffing a "powerish" bar into your dry dehydrated mouth when you're in the middle of an activity. They provide a lot nutrients and taste good. they do the trick for sure

this is the perfect goggle for women that have had a hard time finding a goggle that fits their face. Often times goggs are just flat out too big for women ! This is a great alternative for that female! Plus they retain the integrity of high-performance smith goggles. . .

they work for simple touring-- but if there is any sort of technical touring involved I tend to ultra struggle with trekkers-- but they got me where I needed to go for four years and are super nice when you want to have the strength of your own binding for your lines during the day?

these guys are durable, light, good poles. They have the rip-away straps too which are nice for touring and other safety reasons.

wore this helmet the entire last season: good breathability- which works nice with the moisture management. not heavy or clonky which works well if you're not a huge helmet fan-- however I AM A HUGE HELMET FAN and this worked great for me as well. I just read the comment on it lacking a great system for keeping your goggles from falling off the back of the helmet--but if you just rest them half on the brim it works great... PLUS it has a "snap-clip" for the goggs which i prefer to the "slide-in" clip because then if they do slide off the back they're definitely not going anywhere. I loved the helmet-- AND GET READY FOR THE MAZE!!!! New Smith helmet coming out that's lighter than a piece of popcorn and is fully certified!!!! IT'S AWESOME --keep your eyes open---

k, so here's my deal with the I/O-- for those of you that struggled with getting them dialed when you bought them last year and were super stoked to have SUPER EASY lenses to change "the firstish no frame google" ---AND WERE disappointed? THIS COMMENT IS FOR YOU: Smith worked out the bugs--- check em out now--- if you don't want to spend the doe right away-- try someone else's on-- the fit is better, the foam has changed, and the moisture issues have been ironed out a lot... so give them another chance before you say "no". so ----- i spent the majority of my last season on the XXL then I moved to the Huge for some cat-skiing at Baldface in interior BC-- ie-- pow skiin'... it was incredible. As in- wow dynastar made a powder ski. I would disagree with the comment that they aren't so good anywhere else (other than the powder) -- I was just on them the entire time i was in Chamonix-- snow was great however there were many-a-day where the conditions weren't optimal- I was comfortable in the Huge's the whole time-- plus I shred them around in-bounds Alta all the time in the crud on the backside or over rockier steeper stuff that calls for technical skiing as well--?? I think they're great? It's the ONLY ski that I took to Europe this season? BUT THEY DO kill in in the backcountry-- they're sweet. I found them to be more rigid than I thought they were going to be! (cool)-- I thought they were going to be really soft-- they aren't what you think if you've never flexed them--- give them a shot... they're more versatile than you think.

k - so Smith has a lot of stuff dialed-- especially when it comes to this goggle. I've used it for two years straight now and I'm super pumped on the fit-the lenses- the quality-the durability-the style ---and especially the versatility of the lenses-- smith is making goggle lenses that are good for all sorts of conditions-instead of interchanging all the time (which they make easy as well) - very happy with my gogs.

k so pumped- super pumped on Ogio- it's nice to shred with bags that are made by people that SHRED. my bags are functional, low-key with straps and hangy-downy-things that flap, and they hold up when you travel a lot-- and with this bag: everything works... durable, functional, easy traveling.

k- it's really easy when in comes to this ski= it's the ski of my dreams and the ski that the big-mountain world has been waiting for--ask anyone you see on it--they'll tell you the same. No other way to put it.
