Awesome pads. Oh, so comfortable.

Alpinestars Moab Knee/Shin Guard

I bought these shin guards after they were recommended to me by my Downhill buddy in San Diego. We were strapping up to bomb a big descent in our home town in Virginia. He was sitting on the ground putting on his Alpinestar shin guards and he looked up at me, and I'll never forget it, he said, "These shin guards are the sh*t. you should get them."

And so I did. I am 5'9", 150lbs, with a 30" inseam. I m wearing the S/M. They fit nicely, but I am on the biggest end of the size. I have no idea how the L/XL fit.

I am very happy with these shin guards. They are extremely comfortable, as well as offering a great deal of protection. I honestly do not notice them when I am riding in them, or standing around in them. Buy these, they are the nicest you can get. I want to pick up the elbow pads as well.

Six Six One Evo d3o Elbow Pad

I have these pads. I wrecked on them pretty hard and the rocks I landed on just pushed the pads up my arm, despite the fact that I had them strapped down hard. So they just got pushed out of the way and my forearm was sliced open by some razor rocks. The pad did a great job of keeping the blood in until I got to the E.R.

I am currently on this site to pick up a pair of Alpinestar Moab elbow pads, which will stay in place when crashing.

These would definitely give you some decent thorn protection, but I can't imagine wearing them in hot weather. They would be dreadfully hot. I get scratched to hell when I mountain bike as well... I think it comes with territory.

I have worn both the S/M and the L/XL. both fit well, mainly it is in the length. I now wear the L/XL because I needed the extra length. These things stretch like crazy. You could probably put two arms in one if you wanted. Sizes are universal mens to womens. I am average atheltic 5'10" 150lbs body male.

I have these boots, and yes they have a little D ring at the toe of the laces to attach your gators. They are cheap boots for sure, but they are dry and warm. They fit me well and i enjoy easy kick n glide as well as manhandling my EVOs into tele turns in the trees.
