Merrell Pace Glove Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Merrell Pace Glove Trail Running Shoe - Women's

I bought the pace gloves for barefoot running and have been loving them so far. The feel is great and I think they really do align your stride better. I used to get cramped on runs in the shoulders and hips, and that's gone away in these shoes.

I am a little hesitant though about running longer distances in these. I'm training for an easy 1/2 marathon, so just runs of 3-6 miles in the past month. I run 1/3 trail, 2/3 paved and the lack of cushioning is definitely felt around in the area below my ankles after running. Not sharp pain, just some soreness after running. We'll see if my muscles adjust as miles increase, or I may need to find more cushioning.

I think these are GREAT casual/active shoes though, and LOVE the feel running. I am usually a 7.5 in Merrell with a longer 2nd toe. I tried on the 7.5s and they are a snug, toe-to-the-end fit, so I opted for the size 8. They felt roomy in the toes at first, but not hitting the end is pleasant while running.

Got this as a raffle prize and started using it. The AirCore concept is phenomenal and works! Also, the Aircore design really takes weight off the shoulders and makes it easy to put on the hips. Great pack!

Try to try on before buying

Awesome technical piece! And I usually can't stand some of the "doesn't fit me" comments, but I have to add in that I have a lot of patagonia clothes and the cut of this just seemed funny. Maybe because the fabric shows it a little more?

I am a definitive small in their other shirts, but the sizing in women's jackets seems much bigger in the shoulders. I sent back for an XS, which fixed the shoulders but is quite a bit shorter. I know Patagonia is cutting clothes for athletes, but all women definitely are not broad shouldered. Try it on before you buy!

Great light approach shoe

Patagonia Footwear Huckleberry Approach Shoe - Women's

Patagonia Footwear Huckleberry Approach Shoe - Women's

These are really comfy hikers. I am a climber and love an approach shoe that let's your foot feel the rock a little and these do the job. They've stood up to about 7 months of hard approaches now. The one thing I'd change would be the heel-stitching. Abrasion kills the threads and now the rubber part is peeling away from the shoe. Superb comfort and traction though!
