DAKINE Concourse Double Ski Bag
October 14, 2010
I've been traveling with the DaKine Concourse Double ski bag for years. From Alaska to Europe to South America and places in between. I Love this bag! It has durable wheels and a strong main compartment which is key when towing a heavy load. I typically fit two pairs of skis (185 fat skis), 2 pairs of poles, helmet, gloves, boot dryer, shovel, probe, skins, and a backpack rolled up. The wrap around zipper makes it easy for security to scan your gear, and the outer pocket fits flip-flops or slippers perfectly for when you arrive to your destination.

Sweet Strap
GoPro Vented Helmet Strap Mount
October 14, 2010
I love using this GoPro strap on my Mtn bike, Snowmobile and Moto helmets. Since I don't GoPro too often with these helmets, I did not want to have a permanent sticky mount. Tightening the straps are a little tricky, but I have found that the wider the straps are wrapped around the helmet visor he more secure the camera will be. I usually use some duct tape around the base of the mount too to prevent any wobbling.

Giro Xen Helmet
July 1, 2010
This is the second Xen Helmet that I have owned. I love the snug fit, the light weight, and dope style of this safety piece! The sliding adjustable strap, along the the back of your head, keeps the helmet locked down while jumping or bouncing over rocks and the vented design keeps your head cool while climbing.

Alaska heli-skiing with my Heli Pro
DAKINE Heli Pro Backpack - Women's - 1200cu in
January 13, 2010
This backpack comfortably fits all the gear I need for a day in the backcountry. The ski loops are fat enough to hold fat skis, the main area fits my water, skins, Clif Bars, gummy bears, extra goggles, gloves, layer, probe, and shovel blade... keeping it all snug and compact. I love the plaid and funky patterns that DaKine uses, but most importantly, I love all the attention to functional detail.

Sleddin' in a SubZero
Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Hooded Down Jacket - Women's
January 13, 2010
I wear my SubZero puffy all the time! This is one of my favorite jackets and I love how it cuts out the windchill while snowmobiling, keeps me dry while storm skiing and looks good when going out. This jacket is very puffy and warm, but with the pit zips you can air out and avoid overheating.

The mtns that line the ski tip bottoms on the Volkl Kuro look sweet as your busting through powder, hucking cliffs, or just walking around... as I am here in Alaska :)

Chillin' in my Agents while in Argentina
Tecnica Agent 130 Ski Boot - Men's
October 16, 2009
This boot is super comfortable with incorporated performance, that is insane! I have ski toured, hucked and apre'd in these boots, and my feet never screamed for me to take them off. The Tecnica Agent is a pretty stiff boot, very responsive, and for an aggressive skier. And the purple.. oh my.. grape jolly ranchers for the feet... how AWesome is that?!!

Black Diamond GlideLite Mohair/Nylon MIX STS Skin
November 4, 2009
Actually that is a sick Backcountry set-up!
It's obvious that you care more about Down than up. For the Kuro's I'd run the fattest skin and buy some fat tips...

Volkl Gotama Ski
October 28, 2009
I would definitely go with the 178's. The new Gotama has a slight reverse camber (rocker) to it, so it skis a little bit shorter.. less contact with the snow. I am also 5'8 and love both the 178 and the 186's. Length is a plus if you're looking to fly through the powder, but if you're digging the tight trees and short radius turns, shorter may be a better call, either way, you'll love this ski!
