I have used a runner, knotted in the middle and re-clipped to my harness's belay loop with an extra biner, to extend my rappel device. I never get the knot in the right spot. I also use the biner clipped to my belay loop to anchor in once I hit the belay station. It's never the right length! Grrr...
This fixes all that AND it has no dyneema weakening knots tied in it.
It's 16mm of dyneema and nylon badness.
BUT, please girth hitch this to your harness's waist and leg loops and NOT your belay loop.
AND clip in nice and tight (you can even adjust your clip in point with an extra biner without ever completely unclipping from you anchor) and avoid those nut busting factor 2 falls.
I took away 1 star because all those stiff stitched sections get to be a pain the butt sometimes.

Super lightweight. Dry coating also lets it slide nicely. So far it is showing very little sign of wear. Mammut makes some great ropes.

Supple. Ties very nicely. Seems to be holding up to sport and trad thrashing so far.

I use this pack for everything from cragging, where it holds a full rack, rope, helmet, shoes, and lunch all inside the pack - to alpine overnighters where you then add a sleeping bag, pad, half a tent, stove, and rain gear by extending the spindrift collar and top lid. It carries 30lbs nicely. I've had mine for a little over 2 years now and it's holding up very well. No broken plastic after two trips to GTNP, several 14ers, weekend sport/trad climbing, etc... My only issue is with all the extra long webbing, it can get to lookin' like a nylon dread-head hangin' from me back mon. But it's all those extra webs that allow the pack to convert from a mountain load hauler down to a sleek summit pack.

3 years and still going strong. Love love love this tent. It goes up without having to think about it. My wife can set it up in minutes. It is a tight fit for two wide shouldered guys, but if you're that beefy you could pack in a bigger shelter.

Very durable shoes. Sticky rubber. Relatively comfortable. Edge OK. They haven't stretched much in the past year. I had a friend break one of the nylon webs which lock your heel down but mine are still going strong. Great trad shoe for sure.

I run my 9.5 Mammut through it and it works just fine. My only complaint is that I wish the handle were tougher. Not that I have ever broken one, but it feels like it could break. Other than that it does what it is supposed to do which is to keep the climber in the air and off the deck.

Comfy. Mobile. Tough. I wear them everywhere, even to the crag. My wife likes them so much so told me to get another pair. I said, "But honey, they're 80 bucks!" She said, "Then get two pairs!"

I love this shirt. Light, fits perfect, and the little bit of stretch feels fantastic. My favorite button down.

These shoes hug your feet like nothing you've ever worn before. They feel like broken in climbing shoes with padded uppers and with soles supportive enough to walk in. I love these shoes for approaches and for climbing up to 5.9-ish.

The laces to the toes do a great job of adjusting the shoe's fit back and forth between horizontal and vertical work. I have hiked about 5 miles in them and they did just fine. Not too grippy in the grass, and they do tend to get hot, but they hiked much better than I had expected from a "climbing" shoe.

I have had to force myself to NOT wear them everywhere for fear I would destroy the rubber too quickly. And it does wear fairly quickly.

UPDATE: I wore these up Teewinot, Mt. Moran, Grand Teton, South and North Maroon Peaks, Pyramid Peak, and countless sport and trad routes - and I absolutely love them. No complaints. Their claim of hiking 3 - 5 miles in them is right on the money. Any farther and the lack of cushioning in the fore foot starts to bother my feet.
Lastly, after a full summer of use the rubber at the toes is getting thin. The nubs are gone. I may try to stretch one more year out of them, but I am doubtful that they'll make it.

Easily worth the SAC price but not much more. The inside feels like butter, and the techy details are nice, but wool? Where? And the outside will pill up if you're not careful with your washing. Graphite = Black. But again, on sale... buy it!

My wife loves her hoodies, and she really loves this one. It's very nice, with two exceptions. One is that the fleece is old school fuzzy see through stuff. Two is the inner stiching looks... cheap, where you can see it.

There's nothing to think about; they work, they're light, buy a dozen and move on.

Great locker. Snappy, light, solid feeling. The opening is just a tad small, but this is the price of light. I own several and use them for just about everything.

Does just about everything a daisy chain does with none of the disadvantages. Packs down very small when not in use.

Super light, no nose hook to catch the anchor or the rope, perfectly tensioned wire gate. Yes the thin dog bone does get twisty but I do not see this as a bad thing at all.

Comfy, breathe well, nice fit. The elastic band is, however, a bit odd; stiff. Still I love these shorts.

On the hiker / climber sliding scale, I found the Exum Pros to be more hiker than climber. The rubber is very good, though not tacky like the Evolvs or the Montrails. On the other hand the sole, with its softer heel and braking lugs will work much better on your descent. As light hikers they work great!

Great approach/climbing shoe. I love a shoe which is more climb than hike, and this shoe is it. The sole towards the fore foot is thinner and much more sensitive than a sneaker type shoe. I like this feature a lot. The Trax rubber is very sticky.
As noted however, the orange in the picture is WAY off from the orange in real life.

These insoles turned a pair of good fitting 8 mile hiking sneakers into perfect fitting unlimited mile hikers. I've ordered two more pairs!

As others have noted, they ride a little high. Also the elastic band bends in the middle in an odd sort of way. IF they weren't made of super nice merino...
