I purchased the Hybrid Jacket in Nov. 2003 for a week hiking trip in the Smoky Mountains. The 1st day of our hike there was a few inches of snow on the ground and about 19 degrees out that morning. It had rained the night before so the trail was ice & snow. The Hybrid Jacket is I feel the Greatest. It keep me quite warm while hiking I found with the jacket and a medium weight base layer shirt, I was very toasty with temperature in the high 20's to low 30's. In fact I had to take the jacket off on the incline hikes do to over heating. But, when we stopped the Hybrid Jacket kept the wind out When the chill started creeping in during our rest stops. I don,t even recall having to pull my fleece coat out of my pack. So for this Jacket I feel it does what it suppose to and more. I will be going to Seattle, Wa for a Mt. Baker climbing course and sumit and this jacket will be there with me in Aug of 2004.
