Atomic Century Ski - Women's

November 29, 2010

Hello Andrea,

We are about the same size and I ski the 176 cm...with the the Century's rocker it skis a little shorter(shorter effective edge), so going to a larger size would probably be okay for you. If you are an aggressive skier you will want the extra length when you are charging deep powder.

Powder for the ladies

Atomic Century Ski - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 29, 2010

This is the only ski I took with me on my last trip to South America. The rocker on the ski makes it perfect for pow skiing, which I definitely had in Bariloche after the Santa Rosa storm hit. And when conditions turned spring-like I was able to bring them out into steeper, icy conditions. It is great for skiing deep snow, but also extremely maneuverable. If you are looking for a one quiver ski---this is it!

The Only Ski Jacket I Brought

Outdoor Research Igneo Insulated Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 29, 2010

Just spent a month in South America and this is the only jacket I brought with me---it was great for warmer days, when I would just wear one layer underneath (breathable) and on cold, pow days, I threw another layer under it for the ideal amount of warmth.

I am about 5'8" with a regular sized torso and I think this jacket fits really well. It is not too short and with the powder skirt ensures that you won't get snow up your jacket when storm riding.

I have received so many compliments on this jacket. I own it in Peacock and wear it out after skiing almost every night. Warm and comfy, but not too heavy. It is the perfect in town jacket! Photos on the way.

Marker Baron 12 Ski Binding

May 11, 2010

Agreed. The Barons will be perfect for a Gotama, even if you are skiing the resort a lot. Just think of those times when you could just skin out the Shuksan Arm at Baker or go for a longer tour out Grizzly Gulch after a few laps inbounds; this is when the Barons will be perfect. No extra weight, no trekkers, and you will still have the ability to go on quick, easy tours.

Outdoor Research Rumor Hooded Fleece Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 28, 2010

I wear this piece all the time. In the Pacific Northwest, it is perfect as a layer on rainy mountain bike rides, cooler days when I am running, or as a layer under my ski shell. Also, it is a cute around town piece!!!

Love Smith

Smith I/OS Interchangeable Optic Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 April 28, 2010

Really easy to switch the lenses out on these goggles. Also, they fit a smaller face really well. I have only worn mine with a Smith helmet or a hat, both of which are a perfect fit.

Perfect for sidecountry

Marker Baron 12 Ski Binding

Marker Baron 12 Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 April 28, 2010

I love this binding. The 12 din, lighter version of the Duke is perfect for sidecountry and skiing within the resort. Also, I just took them on a mission up Mt. Shuksan in the Pacific Northwest and they worked really well for that as well. Thanks Marker!!!

Smith Shoreline Sunglasses - Women's - Polarized

Smith Shoreline Sunglasses - Women's - Polarized

Rating for this product: 5 October 15, 2009

These sunglasses fit my head really well. The arms are not too tight, but just snug enough that I could wear them biking or trail running. With that said, I think that they are light enough to wear when active. If I was out on a bright day in the snow, I think that these would shelter my eyes completely.

Fun, casual Smiths

Smith Habit Sunglasses

Smith Habit Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2009

These are my favorite casual sunglasses because they block out so much sun and they are really lightweight. Maybe not the perfect fit for hiking, biking, or touring, but they have great coverage so that you aren't squinting while doing whatever else.
