I narrowed it down between these two, the Patagonia Down Sweater and the Marmot Zeus. Quality from both brands were excellent and there really is not any superior one. I ended up choosing the Patagonia Down Sweater because of the look, color options (alpha green is sharp!), and because it was slightly less puffy. I will say that the Marmot was warmer, seemed to be more wind resistant, and the better buy. I'm a bit of hot box so I actually preferred the less warmth from the Patagonia Down and I don't mind spending a little extra so that i'm 100% satisfied. I would also like to add that there is no way I would hike, mountain bike, or climb with either jacket as my outer layer. Both Jackets seem as though they would rip very easily and at 200 bucks its not worth it. I only bought this jacket because I love how comfortable down feels (cant tell its on) and how it regulates temperature. I'll strictly be using this for camping and around town. I would say If you're wanting a more affordable and warmer jacket then I would look elsewhere like the Marmot Zeus because honestly the price on the Patagonia Down is not really worth it when there are others out there with the same quality. However, if you're like me and love the look of this one, then spend the extra cash and get the one you'll be happy with. I'll finish here with the fit of these two jackets. Both have a really nice regular fit, the way a down should fit. They are not slim fitting but you're also not swimming in it so I would say they are both true to size. If you're wanting a slim fit then I would try multi sizes on before I bought one.
