The light was *dim*. Even after charging the batteries that came with it, or even after replacing them with high capacity 2500mAh special AA batteries, the light barely threw more than 20 ft. That's definitely not acceptable for me, especially when bombing downhill over 20mph on my road bike at night. I have a 1 watt LED flashlight that I bought for $10 that throws light well over 60 ft away, three times that of this light. Don't buy it, I can't see anything worth this.
ps - I took it apart, trashed the dim bulb and reflector, and replaced it with a 20 watt insane LED, reflector and lens that lights up houses at the end of the block.
