Better than 'standard issue'

It's just the right size for biking and other day trips. Much more comfortable than comparable camelpaks. The bladder is supeior in my opinion as well, BPA free is a big thumbs up in my book and you can turn it inside out, if you need to scrub your vodka and oj concoction out. not that i would do that... Although i do like the bite valve on the ceamelpaks better. the dakine has a larger diamater water line, but its bottle necked by the bite valve. not a major issue but i switched my bite vale w/ a camelpak bitevalve and it flows a lot more easily.

The North Face Paramount Peak Convertible Pant - Men's

I love these pants so much bought another pair.
Thumbs up:
Pants are rugged, shed water and have pretty good pockets.
Pockets are vented.
They fit pretty well, but not perfect. (5'10, 175 - medium/regular) But then again, they broke the mold when I was made...
The built in belt is def thumbs up.
Thumbs down:
I wish there was two zippered pockets instead of just one.
The shorts could be a tad longer. They end above the knees which would be helpful if i were trying to join the yacht club.

Good knife

SOG Knives Salute Knife

This is a pretty decent knife, nothing special. i like the material the handle is made from and the knife feels good in the hand. not too big to be an everyday pocket knife, unless the clip breaks...as mine did. the clip seems to get caught on things when i work, as it has a lip that sticks out. i believe to help guide it over your pocket. i have tried repeatedly to have a new clip sent to me, called and emailed and SOG even said they would send one for but that has been several months, no clip. i will buy one made in the USA next time. Like Gerber. four stars if the clip hadnt broke.
