Hi Tina, it's roughly 40" or so. It folds in half and it's full length is 76" so half of that is 38", I'm adding 2" to account for the extra material and the bag itself.

Although the straps are very strong and secure if you want to ensure no tugging of the seams then try this. Wrap the rope around the whole bag and through the loops. This way the rope is holding the entire bag and not just the loops, but the loop keeps the rope from rolling off the bag. I have lots of these bags straps to my motorcycles this way and they hold fine at 80mph and I don't have to worry about the bags slipping.

Thanks Brandon, I figured they would be a bit short. I cannot seem to find any decently lightweight or at least small packing genuine stakes to use out there. I'm coming in on two wheels instead of an RV so carrying 2ft long pieces of rebar is out of the question. The closest thing I have found are NRS blue screws, they come in 12 and 22". They are for sand and soil, don't know how they would fare screwing into the playa. What did you use?

Depends on your definition of hot. Boiling water poured in with tea\coffee\hot chocolate would be a bit hot to drink with the mouth piece. But you can pour it in to use as a warming or hot stone for your sleeping bag.

They use a different valve. But you can use the Big Agnes pumphouse which doesn't cost much more and quadruples as a drysack, pillow, campshower, water carrier.

If they do not then see if you can get a lid from a jetboil PCS from jetboil. Fits perfect, it's silicone so you can leave it on there while cooking. But popping it on and off whilst cooking to check on the boil will not be easy as it snaps on pretty deep and tight.

If not, do the instruction say that the stove must be threaded to the cartridge for everything to be able to nest inside?

I have a 6x14 compression sack and can get it down to about 6x10. Which is really not too shabby for something this plush.

Depends on what you mean by indoors. If your house? You'll be just fine, in a tent? make sure you have plenty of ventilation. I wouldn't use it in a sealed tent in the rain (a rain soaked tent DOES NOT BREATH). But on a nice night with a mesh tent or with the panels unzipped you would be fine with this lantern.

Actually, they are all billed as left side zips. But since they are rectangular bags I don't think it it matters. Unless of course one side uses a different material and fill than the other, which I doubt since they wanted this bag to also double as a comforter for your home.

the 38oz bottle is actually the same size physically as the 32oz plastic nalgene bottles, the extra capacity is due to the metal bottle being substantially thinner and the fact that the capacity is measured to the brim whereas the plastic bottles capacity is measured quite a bit lower.

MSR canisters are wider, but you can use almost any OTHER type of canister (snowpeak, jetboil, coleman, e.t.c.)

You may want a larger unit, check auto shops like auto zone or strauss for a large jump pack that has a built in AC converter, Home depot also has many models as well. See what the Ah draw is of your cpap machine and get a battery pack that has at least that amount.

No these do not nest. I'd recommend getting the largest size you need and fill it with whatever other bowls, plates, utensils and cooking gear you want and lock them in.

They weight roughly .6-7 of an ounce per, making ten weigh in at 6-7oz, not sure how cory's weighed in an over a lb.

3 days up in the mountains of PA during November. It rained for 3 days straight and in the mornings there were 8" icycles hanging off my motorcycle. The overnight low was roughly 0 degrees.

I slept with the 40 degree side up (I think, is the red side up the 40 degree side?) on an exped synmat 9DLX inside a Walrus tent. I was just wearing a long sleeve t-shirt (it was cotton, I know I know)but I was wearing insulated pants and a beanie on my head, I was actually hot all those nights....

If you're dead set on this bag then you can do a few things. Cinch the lower baffle closed. If that does not help another trick is to fill a nalgene bottle with boiling water and toss it in the foot area, your feet will be nice and warm all night. You can also toss a couple of toe or hand warmers down there.

Also, to keep you feet warm wear a hat and to keep your head warm wear merino wool socks.

If you can look at other sleeping bags perhaps a child size bag will work for you? I have a few female friends roughly your size and shorter and I got them children sized (but name brand) sleeping bags. OR I let them use my Mountain Hardwear flip which has about 24" of zipper on the non full length zipper side, thus effectively making the bag shorter. Not many sleeping bags have this feature, so you might also want to look into ones that do.

collapsible bowls aren't great for pets, they always seem to make it collapse while eating or drinking. I would just use something else for your little buddy.

I'm fairly certain its a word GSI made up for their hard anodized aluminum cookware and utensils. If you look up halulite the only things that return are GSI products.

The first two guys are giving opinions. this cup is perfectly safe to use in a fire. Just make sure its a small fire otherwise you may need gloves or a pot lifter to remove it.
