Tempting thought the price is, I'd be leery. The Targa fogs and develops frost on the inner lens in very cold, snowy weather (what's a goggle for, really?) I skied with them at Vail in a cold snowy December, and I had to borrow a friend's goggles to make it down. I called Spy and the best they could do was offer a 25% discount on full retail on one of their other goggle lines. I still use them, but only on warm, cloudy days, and in late afternoons for the shadows. That way I save my real goggles for real sliding.

Jean Beyl, who founded the original Look binding company, probably turned in his grave when Rossignol (since the 90's owner of the ski binding section of Look) introduced the PX series of heels. Park skiers, extreme skiers and racers alike howled over the disappearance of the old Look turntable heel. Well, it's back, as the FX at Rossignol and the Pivot at Dynastar. I have never wanted to ski on anything else. It is the only binding on the market with a turntable which pivots under the heel, and hence under the tibia. It is better at preventing fracture and ligament injuries. Why did Rossignol stop making it? The newer fixed heel of the pasts three seasons is way cheaper to manufacture. The same reason Rossi replaced the beautiful, but expensive old Nevada pivot toe with a much cheaper toe from the German company Geze. It lives on in a different shape and with an added contact point or two in todays Rossi (and Look) tow. If you can afford these bindings, and they fit your skis, buy them now while you can. Where I live and ski, people buy clapped-out old skis with old turntable Looks on them just for the bindings. I have a stock of them in my ski workshop. Long live Look turntables!

This is a good, simple pant at a decent price. You're paying for the Hyvent material. Pant has NO REAR pockets and the front pockets are too small to hold even a wallet, too shallow for change, too tiny for size 16 hands. Nice large belt tabs, good freedom of movement in the knees and thighs. What they don't have is "details" or "style"--no cargo pockets, no vents, no taping on bottom of legs, very basic gaiters, no side zips, etc. If you want more features, I'd say keep looking. There's lots of stuff out there at this price.

First off, I returned these. Mens small was HUGE--what used to be sized as mens large. They are very well made, good material and details, lots of useful pockets. But the "topiary green" is really neon green--its way lighter and brighter than the photo (why can't BC get its photo colors closer--other sites seem to manage to). BUT, if what U want is to make a statement, these are very good pants. I have a SB jacket, which I love. Good quality stuff at a price that lets you have more than one to project different moods on the slopes...Ya!

I bot this jkt for my wife and she absolutely loves it! Malibu Blue is a great color, straight from Oz, bright but not glaring, sophisticated but not in-yr-face. The jkt is well made, fits well, and looks great on her. Very good quality materials, too. Have not yet subjected to winter weather (it's summer here, but winter in the land of Rip Curl). I agree that it needs a lift pass pkt on the sleeve (maybe they don't have RF passes yet in Oz?). Other wise it would be five star

If you're tall, slim and at least a DD, this is your jacket. It is cut very clim in the waist for a hip length jacket, and the waist rides quite high for my 5'6" spouse, for whom I bot the jkt. Another thing: the horizontal tartan stripes don't meet across the front of the jacket (see in picture, above). That might nor bother you, but to wifey (and me), it looks "cheap". Also, the outer material is "see thru" enough so you can see the dark brown lining through it, which makes the jkt look parchy and, weel, dirty. On the plus side, the jacket is warm, has lots of pockets, and on the right bod would probabaly look as it was intended to look by its designer. I bot a large, and a medium would have been better in the upper bod, too tight below the waist. When will designers learn that not all women are Gisele Bundchens?

I have the Dynastar 8000 and have skied it in every kind of snow and ice. The Mythic Rider does everything the 8000 does with greater conviction. It is a stiffer ski and skis heavier, hence it demands more of the skier. On trails it skis like a GS ski with great edge hold, but obviously slower edge change and longer arcs. It devours crud, floats pow and handles windslab and crust as well as any ski I've been on. It is NOT a ski for bumps, trees or tight quarters. When I changed midday back to my Legend 8000's, it was like I had nothing on my feet--like skiing blades. The Mythic is a powerful, precise ski in the right hands on the right terrain (read steep and soft and very fast). If you can have only one pair of skis, go for the Legend 8000; it is more forgiving, more adaptable, and easier on the legs.
