Great eVent bibs

These bibs are great if you don't mind the lack of integrated gaiters. For me this is fine because I own some separate gaiters. The eVent material is very waterproof, breathable, and seems durable. Ice screws on my harness have not caused any rips or tears in the material. The fit is very comfortable, the straps do not seem to get in the way. I buy all of my shells a size larger than I need so that I can fit lots of layers underneath so for me (5' 7" 145 lbs) I like the large. The pockets are located at the top of the bib, which means that they will be inaccessible when you put on your jacket. The draw strings at the bottom of the pants prevent the hems from sagging below your boots. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with these (just get yourself some good gaiters to go with them). I had not heard of Rab before getting these bibs, but they make some great mountaineering/climbing oriented clothing. I liked these so much that I decided to get the Latok jacket as well.

Good for Casual Use

Columbia Northern Peak ll Half Zip Pullover - Men's

Columbia Northern Peak ll Half Zip Pullover - Men's

This is a very nice fleece for casual use (as is listed under recommended use) at a low price. The knit is very loose which means that wind cuts right through it. I bought it originally to use as an extra layer for telemarking, and it works alright. While it does provide some extra warmth, its inability to block out any wind makes it less useful than thinner but more densely woven fleece jackets.
