Bought both boys this jacket to snowboard and they are happy and warm. It's a great coat for the price. The winter had been pretty mild, but even on the days that bring some colder temps and wind, they still don't complain. The waist gaiter is enough to keep the snow out and keep them dry. I do have to agree with another review on the sizing, they run large. I bought smalls for both boys ages 7 and 8 who are about the same size, approx. 50 inches and 60 lbs. They will probably still be able to wear them next year if I let the sleeves out. Overall great for the price and function. Would purchase again.

All three of my kids, two boys and a girl, have the Burton Explorer first layer crews and pants. And all three love them. They keep them warm without needing to add any additional layers and bulkiness on the coldest of days and don't allow them to sweat too much on the warmer days, which we'be been having a lot of. All of them think they are comfy, no complaints of itching, in fact most of the time they will insist on sleeping in them after a day if riding. Would recommend and will definitely purchase again.

I have both of my boys ages 4 and 5 in these bindings and the Freestyle boots. They have the one strap smalls and both are able to get in and out without a lot of effort. They are also extra light so there's not a lot of extra weight for them to tow around to make them tired. Overall great product.

My daughter has had several Burton coats and all have been great. This one keeps her warm on the coldest days, it has a fuzzy liner that has yet to go flat and yucky like some others. It has been washed a bunch(she has brown and there is always salt on it) and it still looks like new. Understand that Burton clothing runs about a size too big and you should be fine when ordering.

I have also had this jacket for my seven year old, in fact she has two. She has never complained about it, has always been warm, and never wet. You can wash it a million times and it still looks like new. It even has a snap in the back that hooks to the pants, so no snow in the crack....great for those who ride powder.
