Canada Goose Freestyle Down Vest - Men's

Canada Goose Freestyle Down Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 28, 2010

Rugged - great fit and true to size - no smell that I notice (as some have mentioned). A little more expensive than the thin nylon shell types, but this is a vest you won't be buying again for a while - Looks like it will last forever.

Only negative for me is the Velcro closing inside pocket - I really dislike Velcro for that sort of thing - impossible to leave the pocket "open" and I hate pulling on Velcro to open a pocket. Minor nit though - great vest.

Great Jacket

Gore Bike Wear Countdown AS Jacket - Men's

Gore Bike Wear Countdown AS Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 11, 2008

This is, like most of the GBW products, a very well made and nice looking jacket. Sizing is uncharacteristically accurate and my normal size of medium was perfect. It is very light and probably works best in a narrow range of temps - with a light base layer on, sleeves have to come off and convert to a vest in 60 degree weather - very handy - and in the lower 40s, it was not enough for me even with a heavier base layer and I went for my Arcteryx polartec softshell which was perfect.

A very light, packable conversion Jacket/Vest with decent pockets.

Well made, good looks - crazy sizes!

Gore Bike Wear Helium Cycling Vest - Men's

Nice Vest - as mentioned with other GBW products, the sizing is mystifying. I am a "small" medium (5'8" 155lbs) but the medium was too tight across my chest - a large is fine.

The vents in the back keep heat build up down, pockets are handy, and the styling and construction are great. And almost no weight to it - perfect for knocking off a windy chill without bulk.

Excellent, but go for one size up.

Gore Bike Wear ALP-X GT Pant - Men's

I know - someone has already said this, but it's not a maybe. I barely wear a medium in most clothes (5'8" 155lbs), but the medium in these just wouldn't go - maybe if you have a super flat butt, otherwise size up. Large is fine, but still plenty trim fitting.

These do a great job to keep the chill off in 40's or so weather - probably lower, but I hope I don't have to find that out. ;-)

I only wish they had a front zip - what is with that and bike clothes. I ride pretty hard and drink a lot - as I should - and consequently need to take a pit stop occasionally. A zip would sure make it easier and I don't see any downside. Oh well, these are still very well-made, effective, and nice looking wind pants.

Gore Bike Wear ALP-X GT Pant - Men's

Do you not carry the PROFI Pants? Or is there some reason that they don't work out as well? The zip off legs, light weight, and breathability of the Profi seems like it might be an advantage for me in GA, since temperatures are more moderate and I don't plan to be riding in the rain except by accident. Thanks.
