A good day pack

DAKINE Pro 2 Backpack - 1600cu in

A good, small pack for days of slackcountry. If you're not carrying much, the side cinches make this pack incredibly thin on your back. The waist strap is surprisingly lightweight, yet substantial(ie. not just webbing.) My only issues has been that my G3 probe (20" folded) is too long for the probe pocket. (my camp probe at 17.5." fits nicely)

Answer to: "The description for this says that it has an arrow and distance"

From what I've heard, the arrow does not point to indicate direction like those on a multiple antenna device. Instead, it grows larger to indicate signal strength. When the arrow is at it's longest, the device will be pointing in the direction along the flux line towards (or away from) the transmitting beacon.

This is similar to the arrow on the Ortovox M2 (which I have used)
