4FRNT Skis VCT Alpine Ski

Not much more i can say that Matthew Tabrys didn't say. I have Dynafit TLT Vertical FT 12 Bindings mounted on them and could't be happier so far. Beta- Day 1: @ Mt Snow with about a foot of fresh on top of boiler plate, good float and pretty good edge when it was needed. Day 2&3 @ Jay: the second day there was between 18-23 inches reported and had a blast on these things. Days 4&5 @ Iceface NY ( im sure those who know don't need the mts real name). It does not get any worse than this, 43 F and raining on top of blue ice in a lot of spots. I was still able to at least grab enough of an edge to stay in control. Day 4 was 32 F so everything froze over again covered buy sugary manmade ( I really hate the east at times). As miserable as it was these skis still held up the challenge. Bottom line is this is a pretty damm good ski that can handle the sh#t here on the east coast and then shine out west. See you guys out there in Feb :-)

Dynafit TLT Vertical FT 12 Binding

I have 5 days on these in varying east coast conditions ( ice, loose granular, 2 foot pow @ Jay) and I love them so far. My last run @ Jay I took a run I normally don't take and ran into some large but powder covered bumps which I proceeded to mosh. When I got to the bottom I realized that I never partially locked the toe pieces ( there are 3 settings, fully locked, partial lock, and well i don't have to explain). The fact that I did not release after hitting a few bumps pretty hard in the unlocked position goes to show you how well these things are made. Can't wait to tour with them out west!

Dynafit ZZeus TF-X Ski Boot - Men's

Anyone in the northeast who has bought or is going to needs to bring them to Brian @ http://highpeakscyclery.com/ in Lake Placid for the fitting of a lifetime (I know thats super cheesy but this guy is so thorough I couldn't believe I was on the east coast). After five days in these boots I can't imagine wearing anything else. Plus after comparing them with my Nordica Speed Machine 10's with custom Intuitions I cannot really say anything other than a little loss of stiffness is the only difference. No loss of performance and a whole lot of light boot and comfort is the best way I can put it. Thanks Brian!!!

It all depends on your foot shape and overall feel. I would first recommend trying a pair on to size them up. Dynafit boots fit more true with their mondo sizing chart. With that said, you could be a 26.5 or a 27 for the size 9. I wear a size 10 shoe and normally fit well into 27.0 mondo's, but the 27.0s and the 27.5's were both tight and uncomfy. The 28.0s fit me much better... a little big. Based on my experience, I owuld go with a 26.5 or a 27 for you. Remember, BC.com has an awesom return policy so feel free to buy both the 26 and 26.5 and return the one that doesnt fit best. The 26.5 has a smaller shell size than that 27 so it would be good for you to try both and see which one feels the best. Liners will alwats pack out some, but not overly much on the higher end liners. Hope this helpsI wear a size 9.5 shoe and bought a size 26.5. After getting the liners molded they fit just right.
