These are great ski pants. I was a bit skeptical about their durability and toughness at first compared to prior models but the Gore Tex Pro Shell is like shark skin (much like their ads say). I just returned from a week of heli-skiing in Canada and these pants stood up to the abuse like a champ. We stuck to the trees mostly because the amount of snow kept things unstable and these things just laughed at the branches and what not that occasionally got in the way. They are highly breathable and even after 20 mins of breaking trail on a nasty traverse, my legs weren't all gross and sweaty (but I was working super hard). The high bib and suspenders are money, too. ArcTeryx knows what they are doing and these pants prove it.

Awesome on the slopes, okay off-piste

Zeal Sperical PPX Link Goggles

Zeal Sperical PPX Link Goggles

These are really sweet goggles. On-piste, where you generally have a lot of air moving through the goggle, they do a great job of staying fog free. Off-piste/backcountry, where you have a lot of stop and go action, they don't work quite as well as the frame design keeps the lenses fairly close to the face, leading to some condensation on the inside when you sweat hard. That said, the lenses are awesome (Zeal is well known for having some of the best lenses in all their products), the photochromatic stuff works very well. Bottomline: Unless you do ALL your skiing/riding in the backcountry, I would highly recommend these goggles. Otherwise, stick to something that gives you a little more room/frame space between the face and lens.
