I wear this one every day--can get lots of uses out of it before a wash. It fits great and so comfortable! Wool for the win! And for easy packing of course.

This jacket looks amazing on people. It is HyVent so good water repellency and has light insulation making it great for every day riding and cold days with a layer underneath.

These skins just work, and continue to do so, for a long time, no matter what I am skinning on or how much. I love how bomber they are, and that one pair can be used on several different lengths of skis.

I have been loving the point6 socks, these are nice and thin and made out of wool which is essential for a ski sock as it keeps those boots from stinking and the feet warmer. The shin cushion is a bonus!

These go in and out with a snap; and they look really great. I never have had a problem with them fogging but I follow proper goggle protocol at all times, ie, dry them out thoroughly EVERY night (don't leave them in your car or your backpack or in the goggle bag), never put them up on your forehead if it's snowing or raining, and never wear them hiking if you are going to break a sweat. This is true with ALL brands of goggle--it's just science!

This is the perfect weight of jacket for most winter & spring days in Tahoe or most anywhere on the West Coast--just add an extra layer if it's really cold out or you're further East. It is insulated but not bulky, really comfortable fabric, and boy is is a conversation starter. I have the green and yellow version and the pink/purple is a bit more understated and I love both colors. I wear a solid, dark pant with it and never felt it was "too much." Plus it's just such a functional jacket.

This is an everyday resort jacket, really warm and functional--it stays dry during storm skiing, and the pit zips are super easy if it's a chilly morning waiting for first chair and then it heats up or you are doing short hikes in the afternoon. Phone pocket is seam-sealed and the hood is helmet-compatible to really give you nothing to worry about on storm days. :)

People will see how great you look in this but you will just be focused on the riding with this easy, functional design. Minimalist with just the right amount of functions and no unnecessary bells or whistles, this jacket will keep you comfortable and dry--if it gets super cold, just put a layer underneath and you are styling.

This vest is really good looking, plaid flannel is sweet and soft....and it is a warm vest, so you can get away with wearing it a lot instead of a jacket if it isn't precipitating.

Excellent layering piece--lighter, soft fleece and a long length so it looks good and feels cozy.

These are the best performing boots I've ever worn, I have been loving them this year. They were made on a smaller last than the Tecnica Agents, so definitely try them on as they fit quite a bit smaller than the Agents of the same size. But once you get the right fit--watch out! This is a boot you can really put some power into and it responds amazingly.

Moon Boots are an essential item for my winters living in the snow. But when the snow starts turning to slush in the spring I usually have to sadly retire them until freezing temps come around again. This Vinil edition, while I probably won't go stomping through a creek or something with them, is much more water resistant than the cloth version. Sweet!

This is a sweet boot--it wears like a tennis show comfortwise but with the warmth and winterproofness of a boot. Plus it looks really cute.....

I seriously thought this pad was the answer to my prayers--I used it on a Denali trip and slept better than I ever have winter camping (with a foam z-rest underneath for insulation); it was so cushy and comfy and after all those good nights of sleep I would welcome the three minutes of heavy breathing it required to blow up every night, because it meant I was going to sleep like a baby. But alas, after that one trip it developed a sneaky slow leak that I haven't found yet. I will put it in a bathtub and find the leak and fix it of course but just was hoping for some more durability--I have used Thermarest pads for years and never had a single hole or leak or issue.

I love having regular shirts with hoods, and this one is comfy without being too slacker--ie, you can be casual but still look presentable. :)

I lived in this shirt last winter--it is long and super comfy, and the cowl neck is so cozy.

I love this helmet because it fits "low" on my head, i.e., not sticking way up like a bubble-head. It's light, has perfect venting, and I just take out the liner and the earflaps and wear a hat underneath for perfect warmth and temperature regulation.

For most daily activities all winter, these are perfect--and I always keep them clipped together so I never lose one. Necessary winter item if you live in the mountains!

These are warm yet nimble, and quick-drying so even if I sweat hiking on the way up, my digits still stay warm on the way back down!

This is my favorite new helmet--I wore it all summer and loved it. Amazing fit, light but trustworthy, with a low-profile look to it. General all-around awesomeness!

The Amulet is SO awesome--it really fits and flatters a smaller face, IE, for the ladies! Of course it still has all of the high-quality optics that you get from Giro, like the spherical Carl Zeiss lens. I was lucky enough to get to visit the factory in Italy where Carl Zeiss optics makes these lenses, and they do an amazing job of quality and safety testing. You can wear these with pride! Plus they look awesome. :)

Excellent venting and a really thin, comfortable fabric make this a cool breeze to ride in. I like a size L because of the cut--a M would probably be more "flattering" but I like to ride in comfy, baggy shirts.

I'll confess to digging this out of the dirty laundry hamper on a few occasions when I should have left it in there, simply because I love wearing it so much (sorry to the people who rode with me those times! heh.). I have the heather grey which is kind of the perfect compromise--light enough to not absorb the heat like black would on a sunny day, but dark enough that mud spatters can't affect it. Really comfy and a polished, relaxed look.

This material is awesome--really comfy and excellent wicking, lightweight, etc. The fit of this shirt is what I would say more "body-conscious" than a t-shirt or men's jersey, or some of the more tomboy fit jerseys; being a person who likes to bike in baggy, loose-fitting clothes, I wear a L in this when a medium fits just fine, to get that baggy fit.

I love the length, the fit (yes, they do run big so you can fit pads under--I have a medium and can still fit pads under them if I want to and I wear stuff quite baggy), and the vents are amazing. Sweet shorts!!

These are awesome--I just wish they came with a shoe-horn or a loop in the heel for pulling them on with greater ease; they tend to fold over a bit and get stuck when I'm donning them. But that is a minor little thing for a seriously good shoe.

So light and breathable, easily adjustable--it makes wearing a helmet an absolute pleasure. I get so stoked when I put it on to go for a ride! And then I don't even give it another thought, because I don't notice it the entire time I'm riding, the way a helmet should be.

I don't even notice it's there until I take too long a rest, or the clouds come in and I get chilly--then it's like a little present when I dig into my pack and put it on to warm back up. Choice!

Lightweight but bomber fabric for these rainy, muddy, fall rides--I love the stash-able hood and the venting.

The merino wool makes these so soft, they perform great when hiking hard, and I seriously can go several days in these without getting grossed out before I have to wash them. Packing for ski trips is so much easier now.

because of this piece. Also, my packing has gotten easier--now I can basically bring two sets of wool long underwear (2 tops, 2 bottoms) and can make it all winter on that, washing them occasionally. Merino wool=so comfortable.

The long length, high cozy neck, perfect pockets, bomber fabric, and down fill make this my favorite jacket ever for downhill skiing. Even if I go for short hikes, I can just unzip and open the arm vents (they go up the whole arm!), or just strap it on my pack and put it back on when I get to the top. And this color is amazing.

What more can I say--a lightweight down jacket with a hood is a must have for me; instant warmth and comfort no matter what. So cozy, and it packs away light and small so you won't even notice it's in your pack until you really need it.

I spend the majority of my time on the Katanas. They are so solid, I know exactly what to expect every time and I can relax and focus on my skiing, and total enjoyment. They perform equally excellent in powder, spring corn, or hardpack--it's a one-ski quiver for today's skier.

This is quite possibly the ultimate pow ski--it's the perfect width and just the right touch of rocker for amazing float, a bit softer than a Katana, but still with that solid Volkl dampness that you've come to rely on. It's like being an alien, piloting a powder hovercraft UFO. Or just a really good time!

Really great for all-around in the summer--it's super light and comfortable for running and hiking but cute enough to wear with jeans over a tank top just hanging out. Nice and versatile and easy!

These are really great to put on in the winter when you are going in & out of doors a lot and don't want to overheat inside with your big winter boots on! Very comfortable and stable for winter walking.

I have been using this all winter and it feels great. I am not a hard-core runner, especially coming back from an Achilles surgery last spring I have not been running as much or as hard but this shoe feels really good on dirt/snow/pavement.

This one fits great, looks good, and there is no messing around, it just works. Super easy goggle holder and strap adjustments!

I am 5'4" as well and this jacket fits me perfectly in size M. I wear a L however because I like a bigger fit, and also then I can put a down layer underneath on colder days. Good design, excellent colors, perfect pockets without being overdone.

this jacket is sweet for cold days skiing the resort, or SUPER cold days when you are being active. Really cozy and warm and the waterproofness makes it a really versatile jacket for skiing cold places and for storm days.

It is worth the cost to be able to go into "4x4" or "3x4" mode when you need to when hiking steep chalky couloirs alone! It really helps give you three good points of contact--a seriously excellent ski tool.

I love these skis. They excel in certain conditions (for me, at least)--all types of powder, windbuff, corn, or any kind of soft/smooth snow. It took me about half a day to feel comfortable on them, and then it was like being in a video game--the control and float and responsiveness are amazing and so so fun and playful. My favorite "powder" ski for sure.

Trucker hats are the best for running and/or warm days touring--the mesh back/top keeps a breeze going, and they have the big brims to give maximum shade on your face. Plus you can strap them anywhere, roll them up or smoosh them and they still work great and look fine, unlike your fancy hats that you don't want to crush when traveling.

This little number is seriously handy, I don't really go anywhere without it these days. Packs up light, and will put a charge on my phone or iPod in 2 hours, and can easily be strapped onto the outside of a pack. Simple and functional! The perfect gift for anyone tech-y who likes going outside!

this is the best ski bag I have ever used--ok, it is a bit heavy but that's because it is bomber, it rolls really well without sagging, and I have taken it everywhere and stuffed it to the gills and it is still going strong. I usually put two pairs of skis, lots of gear, an empty backpack, and sometimes a helmet and I can get it just at 50 lbs.

I have worn these surfing as well as mountain biking and running in a pinch and they are totally comfortable and functional. I love the length--they come right to the top of my knee when I wear them low on my waist. I am 5'4", about 130lbs and a size 8 is baggy on me but comfortable and exactly how I like to wear my boardshorts.

so comfortable & soft and just the right amount of warmth for skiing laps at the resort or a day of hiking. I can go two weeks of skiing hard with just these--wool is the best! They make packing way easier, plus I like that it's 86% wool, natural fibers on the skin are the best.

these pants are what I wear every day. Mesh vents in the inner thigh work great, chimney venting on the cuff help circulate air, they fit really comfortable and I love the cut. I get my yellow ones really dirty but have washed them several times and while the dirt still stays now when I wash them, I still wear them and they are still quite waterproof. Removable clip in the pocket works really good for lift tickets or my favorite, car keys! Just attach the little part of the clip to your key ring, and voila--guaranteed to never lose your keys in deep pow because you will just clip them on every time you lock the car. won't you?!

A bit less conspicuous than the original Moon Boot, these have all of the comfort and even more functionality--ie, more rugged soles and more support for your feet than the traditional Moons.

the most comfortable thing you can put on your feet in the winter, period. They instantly warm my feet up after a cold day of skiing, and they are perfect for shoveling, running out to get wood, or if you want to wear a skirt in the winter but are worried your legs will get cold. If you are wearing Moon Boots, they will not! Seriously, though, I hope they stay in style forever because I am never without a pair in the winter. And like Jess said, they are light and pack really well. They are not waterproof but are fairly water resistant--just don't go sloshing through huge puddles or anything in them and you'll be good.

These fit perfectly, and with the darkest lenses I almost never have to even change them out except for on a serious storm day. They are comfortable and have excellent lens quality and field of vision. I never have fogging issues at all, even if I am doing something dumb that would cause any goggle to fog, like hiking with them on, etc. I don't push it though and leave them wet in the car overnight or put them on my wet hat during a storm or stuff like that, because you should just NEVER do those kinds of things to your goggles anyways.

I wear this sweatshirt constantly--my friends might say too much even, but I really don't care because it is the perfect weight of sweatshirt for ultimate comfort. It is nice and long, and the ruched sleeves are totally cute.

Since I can't possibly keep something this white from getting dirty instantly, I wear it inside out only, but I think it looks and feels better that way anyways. It has a sweet retro look and is the perfect fall and winter jacket for bopping around.

This fits the best of any one-piece I have owned (I have had 3), it is sleek and flattering without being tight or riding up in weird places when you bend over. I personally LOVE that no one knows it's a one piece--they just wonder how come you can stay out all day long with a smile on your face, and your jacket and pants go so well together. :) I am 5'4", about 130lbs and I wear a medium if that helps, but I like my stuff baggy. I could probably do a small even.

I hesitate to say best-ever, but this might be my favorite ski jacket I have ever owned. It is very warm, so you can't wear it EVERY day, but the full-zip arm vents do quite a good job if you're going for a hike or just making lots of laps and start heating up. Just unzip the vents and the front zip a bit and keep on givin' er. It is a really long jacket, which I love, and it makes me feel safe and cozy any day in any weather.

This jacket is great for most ski days in Tahoe--it can take a suprise wind/rain/show event without batting an eye but really excels on sunny or overcast days when you can layer. The kangaroo pocket in the front opens with magnets, and can be folded back if you need to, and it's a real conversation starter. The inner jacket is a wet-look insulated "members-only" style jacket that I love wearing out at night.

This is the perfect jacket to keep in your pack all winter long to put on after you get to the top, the wind starts blowing, or you've been waiting for someone, or just want to get cozy. It is light, packable, and super comfortable and surprisingly warm for how small it can be smooshed up.

This is such a sweet layering piece--it has a really high neck so under your ski jacket it gives extra neck-warming properties. It has flattering lines and I wear it all winter long for skiing, hiking, whatever outdoors. I gave it 4 out of 5 because the side zipper means that it needs to be worn zipped up or partially zipped up, or else one side hangs down. This isn't a big deal and how I wear it anyway, but just saying, it is piece made for functioning!

This is a sweatshirt that doubles as a jacket for me. It has quilted lining and is fairly think with bomber zippers so it is really comfortable but warm enough & stylish (I live in a ski town so take my "style" comments with a grain of salt :) ) to wear as a jacket. I have the purple which I love, but the black is classic. I am 5'4" and medium build I would say, but I like stuff baggy and roomy so I wear a large. The right size for me would be a medium, though.

This bag is super light and packs quite small, with the right amount of pockets and wide straps, so even if you load it down with groceries it still doesn't dig in to your shoulder. There's an outside pocket perfect for keys, phone, wallet, etc. Definitely the grocery getter, or works great as a carry-on for travel, too.

I can't do the gels unless I'm in dire straights...but these I could eat happily every day. I love all of the berry/purple/red flavors, less a fan of the margarita flavor, but all the rest are scrumptious and give the right amount of a pick me up if I have about 2 or 3 every so often, mixing in some nuts or something with a little fat as well every few breaks. one black cherry Blok sandwiched between 2 pecans? heaven.

works great for almost any sleeping bag situation for me. I sleep cold, so really appreciate the coziness and the loft of the down--conforms nicely and fills in the cracks, nothing worse than a drafty air pocket to keep me awake! car camping all year round at trailheads in the southern sierra, this is my choice....huts, yurts, tents, even friends' couches--I love it.

This bag has helped me sleep great at base camp on several trips now--at elevation, very cold temperatures, on snow, everywhere. I am a cold sleeper but I find that if I just wear a thin set of long undies, there has only been one night in this bag where i was a bit chilly for a few minutes, but I just battened down the hatches and put a hot water bottle at my feet and soon enough I warmed up. Highly recommend for any base camp situation!

This pack is awesome--small enough to wear on a chairlift but also fits everything I need for a day tour and/or some resort skiing where we're doing lots of sidecountry. There's not too much extra, just what you need. Also, it's super rugged and durable.

These are a super easy call for every day winter resort riding. Lots of pockets, keep me warm and dry, and the bonus is that there is a side zip that zips far enough down that you can just move it aside to pee and you don't even have to take off your jacket like you might normally with bibs. I personally think this is essential, because what's the point of bibs if you have to always take off all your clothes just so you can pee?!!

I sized up in this jacket (I normally wear a medium but wear a large in this one) so I can put a layer underneath--it's a perfect basic jacket for everyday, having fun at the resort or a half-day in the backcountry when you know the weather will be decent!

These skis are sick. The mounting point is very crucial with the reverse camber--you don't want to go too far forward as it makes the tip go lower, but if you mount them on center or back, then that might be what causes you to feel your tails washing out. I mount them 2cm forward (I usually mount my skis forward anyways) and find it just right for my weight & skiing style on the 186cm length. Enjoy!
