Ok not great for splitboarding

Black Diamond Compactor Backcountry Ski Pole

Black Diamond Compactor Backcountry Ski Pole

Rating for this product: 3 February 2, 2012

These poles are a great idea, have a few drawbacks for using as a splitboarder. First, when using the pole to flip up your climbing wire, the grip on the pole gets stuck behind the binding. Second, when chocking up on the pole, there is nothing to keep your hand from slipping down. Overall, the black diamond expedition is a little more robust and easier to use than the compactor. The only benefit of the compactor is that you can break it down to fit inside your pack.

This thing is the perfect layer for skinning up in. It breathes really well and is totally windproof! It is also slightly water resistant. The only downside is that its ugly as sin.

SmartWool Saturnsphere Sock - Women's

SmartWool Saturnsphere Sock - Women's

These socks are great. I wore them cleaning the garage and now they are kind of dirty, but the great thing is that they don't stink super bad! I don't plan on washing them for a long time. The rainbow stripes make the socks look less dirty

This beacon is great. I strap it on my snowmobile so that if my snowmobile gets buried someone can find it. I just need to buy a second one so someone can find me too!
