SRAM Force Shifters - 2012

December 13, 2010

I'm trying to pick my crank and cassette for a new build. Will these work with 10 or 9 speed cassettes? Also, will they work with shimano or SRAM cassettes/cranks?

a great LITTLE light.

Blackburn Flea Front USB Light

Blackburn Flea Front USB Light

Rating for this product: 5 February 3, 2010

Great little commuting light. Not bright enough to ride trails with, but definitely bright enough to ride on a road without street lamps. The flashing mode is great for city riding where you don't need the light, but you need to be visible. 2 Brightnesses allow for better visibility (although I almost always use the brightest one... the battery is pretty good so far, so why not?). The USB charging device is a cool addition too. This thing is VERY small. It doesn't look like it in the pictures, but it's only about the size of a US Quarter around and maybe 1.5 CM thick.

Chamois is EXTREMELY comfy

Capo Real Cyclist Team Bib Short - Men's 2009

Capo Real Cyclist Team Bib Short - Men's 2009

Rating for this product: 5 September 4, 2009

I got these because they were cheap and now I'm hooked on capo. The chamois on these is so much more comfortable than the one in my comparable $140 Louis Garneau's it's not even funny. The Louis's chamois is comfy and all, but these... these are unreal. The fit is great (order a size up from your American usual bib size) and the non-standard leg grippers (no rubber!) are fantastic. I ride these shorts whenever I can!

UPDATE: I wrecked in these over the weekend... they stood up pretty well minus one little rip. Any part of my leg not covered by the shorts was torn up pretty bad, but the shorts seem to have kept the rest of my leg from getting bad road rash. They're still wearable, and just as comfy as ever!

sweeeeeeet jersey

Capo RealCyclist Jersey - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Capo RealCyclist Jersey - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 4, 2009

This is a slick jersey. Listened to the comments and my buddy and ordered the large... i'm super happy about it. you DEFINITELY want to size up. I'm only 155lbs and 6'1" so I wear a medium in any normal sized clothing... the large is actually tight and well cut for me! They must make italians really really small :) The fabric needs to get washed once before wearing it to make it comfy on the skin though.

I have a smaller wrist... would this watch look absolutely ridiculous on me?

Great ski, chippy topsheet.

Fischer Habit Alpine Ski

Fischer Habit Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 4 March 28, 2008

This ski is really solid, has a super light swingweight compared to my old Armada T-Halls, and pops like whoa. Only complaints are that it's kinda tough to butter for someone who's light like me (150 lbs... 6'1") and the top sheet is already chipped to hell after 2 days on'em. Super fun ski though, locks onto rails real nice and boots you into the air. I definitely recommend it.

Best binding I've ever ridden.

Look PX 15 Jib Trouble Ski Binding

Look PX 15 Jib Trouble Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 March 28, 2008

This bombproof binding is worth the extra weight. Knows just when to release if you're bailin hard.

**If you don't weight 175 pounds, ski shops will mount them and then make you sign a waiver that says that you know you shouldn't ski on them because you're not heavy enough to make the binding eject. If you're a good enough skier, you'll be fine.
