Just got my jacket in the mail the other day...one word: SICK! Jacket arrived one day before scheduled arrival date, and in perfect condition, THANKS DOGFUNK/WM/BRO! Now for the jacket:
Saying this jacket is insane is an understatement. The faux fur around the hood is so soft and warm, and if you're not into it, it's removable! The hood is also removable, but I don't see the purpose of buying a warm snowboard jacket and taking the hood off, so that'll probably stay on for me. So far I'd had the jacket fr about a week, and since then I haven't hit the mountain, but we've had everything here in NY from 65 degree temps, torrential rain/wind, and today it was 24 degrees at dawn with 35mph winds making for wind chill temps in the single digits. All I can say is that this jacket delivered! Stayed 100% dry in the rain while walking 3/4mi to class, stayed cool in the warmer weather due to the great breathability of the fabric, and most importantly, stayed TOASTY warm in the early hour's low temps.
The jacket comes loaded with pockets (4 in front, one internal media, one large internal for whatever you need - water bottle, neck warmer, scarf, whatever). Although I have not been able to find the one "arm pocket," though I suspect I need to look a little harder. The goggle pocket near the waist in the front works perfectly, fitting the gogs to the contour of your body to avoid damage (although I haven't used it while shredding). Adjustable powder skirt is well-made, and long enough to cover your rear so no snow gets up your back. One more thing that was a really good idea: the folds on the cuffs can be unsnapped and used as a "buffer" against wind penetration when over the gloves, or the exposed side when unfolded has a super soft surface to wipe your nose or goggles if needed.
I bought the jacket in burnt olive for $40 bucks! Definitely can't beat that price. In fact I told my friend who works at the local surf/snow shop about the deal and he was in awe of the low price for such high-end gear. The color is less brown and more forest-green than shown, but still looks great with ANY color pants (mine are brown, looks perfect).
Thanks for hooking me up!
