MSR MiniWorks Ex Ceramic Water Filter

I have used this filter in the US and in third world country settings with no problem. If you’re looking to buy a filter this is the best one to get. Don't go with the MSR WaterWorks that is about $60 more and adds the second filter. It doesn't do anything good for you - the MiniWorks filters well enough for what you need and if you are worried about viruses no filter alone will work; you need to chemical treat first and then filter. So adding the extra filter is of no use (as far as I can tell). The MiniWorks is the best filter on the market and now with the EX version the filtering is even faster - I could tell a noticeable difference in speed with my new EX. It makes sense to take it on trips instead of trying to carry more water. I have even used it on day hikes of 10-15 miles instead of worrying about carrying enough water for the day. It's perfect.
