I absolutely love everything about them EXCEPT the waist. I understand that the "style" is this low rider, crack showing thing, but I didn't expect it in real outdoor gear. I have kept these because I love everything about them except the waist and have found it incredibly difficult to find any decent hike/outdoor pants that fit me elsewhere with a real waist on them. I just cannot picture a real outdoors woman WANTING this in real working gear. I just have to wear really long shirts so as not to display unseemly body parts. Hopefully, this fad, too, will pass. Women are buying this waist because we don't get any other choices. I hear complaints about it all the time.
