Columbia Winter Ski Sock - Men's

Columbia Winter Ski Sock - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 23, 2011

As comfortable, warm, and wicking as my much more expensive socks. True to fit. Good shin padding. Buy two pair of these instead of one pair of other, more expensive socks.

Smith is GREAT

Smith Phenom Turbo Fan Series Goggles - Mirrored Lens

Smith Phenom Turbo Fan Series Goggles - Mirrored Lens

Rating for this product: 5 March 20, 2008

This is a review of smith in general, and the turbo fan goggles in particular.

First - the goggles. The turbo works. You can wipe with de-fog cloth all you want, but the turbo works. If you wear glasses (look for the turbo OTG models), it is essential.

Now, for the company. I had an older model turbo where the foam broke down letting snow and water in. Smith REPLACED them - no question. I had to send in my old goggles, and they sent me an email saying they'll replace them. In a week, I got a brand new pair of TURBO Knowledge OTG. That's customer service! If they think they have a customer for life, they're RIGHT!

Great poles, easy to collapse and pack. Strong enough for my casual hiking style.

Explorer Trekking Poles OK by me

Rating for this product: 5 June 9, 2003

My wife and I were going to Arches and Canyonlands for a week of hiking. On previous hikes I had seen experienced hikers using poles, so I decided to take a hint from them and get a set. I wanted telescoping so they would fit in our suit cases. After I received my poles, my wife decided she liked them and wanted a pair, so we got another set. They worked wonderfully. I don't have anything to compare them with, since they were my first poles for trekking, but they worked well and held up just fine, at an excellent price. We ended up using just one pole each, so we spread the extras around to family who traveled with us. Everyone agreed that they made hiking easier.
