Great goggles but if you have a narrow face you might want to stick with Oakley A-Frames

Spy Soldier Goggle

Spy Soldier Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 February 9, 2010

These goggles are a great looking and performing pair of goggles. They work well with or without a helmet and never have problems fogging up.

They are however not for someone with a narrowface. While they are comfortable, there is a feeling right around the cheekbones that they are not full sealed. If you have a narrow face and you need to have a pair of goggles that fits extremely tight around your face ,the Oakley a-frames are a better choice.

Nevertheless, i switch between soldiers/aframes regularly and love both of them!

Good shirt but not the best quality

Oakley Tire Marks T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Oakley Tire Marks T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 January 5, 2009

It's a great stylish shirt that does do well in the reliability department. I've gone through three of these in less then two months and they have all had holes appear around the sleeve cuffs

Oakley A-Frame Goggle

January 4, 2009

either iridium would be good. The lenses are interchangeable but not on the fly. They take about 5 minutes to take in and out when you're changing them at home

Great ski

Salomon Gun Ski

Salomon Gun Ski

Rating for this product: 4 January 4, 2009

This is a really light ski that you can throw around. Be it jump turning through glades or big carving turns down a bowl. It floats on powder and has no chatter in high speeds. The only problem i have had is with corn snow on hard pack in which it seems to get kicked around on.

While they won't perform as well as a pair of Mantra's or Prophets in deep powder it is a much more versatile ski that is lighter.

Great Gloves

DAKINE Scout Glove - Men's

DAKINE Scout Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 4, 2009

Picked them up off of SAC a few months ago to replace a pair of gloves, and i am glad i did. Warm and durable and waterproof for the price. The only complaint i have was the liners. They are not the warmest things in the world but that was easily fixed by just getting a pair of polartec MEC liners

Perfect Goggle for a person with a smaller face

Oakley A Frame Goggle

Oakley A Frame Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 January 4, 2009

These are probably the best goggle i have used. They fit perfectly on a smaller persons face, even with a helmet on. Also the the lenses have never fogged up on me, no matter the conditions.

The only thing wrong with them is that they start smelling like a hockey bag if you don't let them air out a bit after you've used them for a day

One of the best shells out there...but EXPENSIVE

Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 10, 2008

I do a lot of backcountry skiing in Whistler and interior BC and i can't think of a better jacket to use. The jacket keeps you completely comfortable and shielded from the environemnt even when the conditions are deteriorating . Breathes exceptionally well and has a hood that you can ski with while having it up.

Good with a few minor problems

Mountain Hardwear Torch Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Torch Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 July 10, 2008

I bought this last year over the Arcteryx Gamma MX hoody when Backcountry.com had a sale. Since i bought it has been a mixed bag for me.

First of the pros. This jacket is light, will shield you from the wind extremely well and can take a suprisingly large amount of PNW moisture.

However, keep an eye on the seam taping because it started to peel, luckily backcountry RMA'd it for me. Moreover this thing doesn't insulate all that well and a helmet cannot be fit underr the hood, so if you're doing ice climbing or skinning up a ridge this might not be for you.

Better off purchasing an Arcteryx Alpha SL

Mountain Hardwear Typhoon Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Typhoon Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 July 10, 2008

I bought this on sale for $80 a year ago from backcountry, but a few things on this jacket has been driving me nuts.

I don't know why MH decided to put a "storm flap" on the front zipper instead of sealing it on their premier paclite jacket. The flap routinely gets caught and you can't zip up your jacket without looking. Moreoever the Zipper end is so small that sometimes its hard to get a hold of with a pair of ski gloves on.

That being said, it performs as advertised. A light straight forward bombproof paclite jacket that is easily compressible and has no useless extras (minus the storm flap).
