Cool Bag, but not at 32 degrees

Sea To Summit TkI Sleeping Bag: 32 Degree Down

Sea To Summit TkI Sleeping Bag: 32 Degree Down

Rating for this product: 4 July 5, 2011

I bought this bag because it is lightweight, packs small, rated to 32 degrees and it zips out fully so you can use it as a blanket. So far, its been a great bag but I think the real rating is more like 40 degrees. Trust me, I'm a warm sleeper anyway. Not a deal killer for me because I'll still get a lot of use out of it, but wanted to let anyone else know.

Cool Concept, Failed to Deliver

ALPS Mountaineering 4 Pack - Table and Chair Combination

ALPS Mountaineering 4 Pack - Table and Chair Combination

Rating for this product: 2 June 1, 2011

I picked up this table before a big car camping expedition last weekend and thought I would give my two-cents. First, there were cracks in the laminate from the shipping, which was probably my misfortune, not DoG's fault. Probably won't getting around to ask for an exchange and its now dirty anyway. That aside, this product really didn't live up to my expectations. First, the table is pretty flimsy. The top is like a particle board covered in a laminate of sorts... not sure why they didn't go all metal. It works, just not rock solid like an aluminum table. Also, when its folded the latches don't keep it shut. As you're carrying it these things can pop open. Other than that its a cool concept, and the stools it comes with seem to work great. I might just keep those and buy a better table. Anyway, I'm thinking this is a case of ALPS going beyond their core competency.

Great, but not all around

Backcountry.com Wool Hooded Jacket - Men's

Backcountry.com Wool Hooded Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 11, 2008

I wore this jacket all last year and it is a great jacket. I am 5'11'' and about 180 and the medium fit snuggly. Almost too snug but this thing moves pretty well. The length is perfect for me. If you're taller, go with a large. I think it looks distinctive in that it really looks more formal then your run-of-the-mill hoody or North Face fleece. Very clean. Its warm for sure. The wool is even pretty durable although not waterproof at all. I tried to wear it to work but I noticed the lining would leave lint on a dress shirt and continued to do so even after being cleaned. It was also snug enough to wrinkle whatever I had underneath. I the end, its perfect for your general messing around outdoors and car camping. Can't wear it to work and its not technical enough to wear skiing, hiking, etc.
