25s should be fine. The difference isn't noticeable until you get into 9+ inches of snow.
I'd think you're more interested in traction. The 25s will do just as well but will be less fatiguing on compact snow

The boot will fit in the binding, but the ankle angle of the boot and the stiffness will make them very uncomfortable.

The Ascent has a more secure binding. The tour is faster to put on, but the Ascent really wraps around your whole foot and will never come loose.

CRKT Kommer Full Throttle Knife

My wife bought me this knife on impulse. It sits in the drawer and never gets used. The one handed opening feature has too much spring pressure and I cut myself fairly bad. The clip had too much tension so you need to use 2 hands to get it back in your pocket.
It's heavy: You can feel the weight if you carry it in a Carhartt hip pocket as I do.
The finish on the handle is cheap and looks it.
CRKT has several other cheap knifes that are much better all around.
